A good cheap alternative to Mary jo K is the rimmel red liquid lipstick. I use it and it looks almost exactly the same. it’s formula is actually better than the Lip kits. It’s super long wearing. Dosnt come off when you eat and dosnt need a lip liner. It feels amazing and is so easy to apply.

This was EXACTLY what I was looking for!!! I have a fair complexion as well and find it next to impossible to see the colors tested/swatched on our skin tone. It seems like you may prefer darker colors, but I'm super happy w/Dirty Peach and in the Metals, Heir and Reign (which you would die for!) so I highly recommend those if you don't have them already... and I am definitely going to pick up Mary Jo K and Posie K on your recommendation/demonstration and probably pass on the Maliboo (btw, you still looked beautiful of course, but it doesn't do much in the way of brightening up our complexion, does it?). If you have colourpop you should compare the wear test, I haven't found much honest wear tests. I've wanted a Kylie Jenner lip kit but I am allergic to lipstick so I'm going to test out colourpop first before I spend 29$ for a liquid lipstick that I'm allergic to. If you have any tips for me maybe if I do get it if it smooth on the lips etc that would be SO helpful! You earned a new subscriber!!!

Thank you so much for doing this bc I had the same problem due to my light colored skin. The photos of the colors on her website look nothing like the colors in person. If you put one of pinky gloss shades over the Malibu lip kit I think it would look really nice on your skin.

i have very pale skin too and i felt the SAME way about maliboo when i tried it on the first time. But i wore it a second and third time and fell more in love with it. I think it looks really good on you, also depending on the clothes you wear with it. Darker greens/navy blue compliment maliboo :)

Thank you so much for doing this! There's a HUGE difference between the gloss Koko K and the matte! Wow! After watching this is think the mattes are too dark or too light, but as a gloss it's perfect. PS- I love Malibu on you, but you're right! It looks nothing like the swatches on their actual site! I was expecting something with a hue of pink in it, not a full light brown.

This was so interesting to see! I'm also pale, but I'm, like, porcelain, and some of these colors look much different on me than they seem to on you. Kristen is like a terracotta orangey red on me. It's really enlightening, to see the variation in appearance even among fair skin shades.
