I saw this show in Montreal, Canada. It was just SPECTACULAR. I've seen many artists in my life, from Madonna to Beyonce. From Mariah to Cher and none has the charisma Kylie has. She's absolute mesmerizing, a real GODDESS!!!
Did she do the full version in Canada? There were two versions, this one which was done in Australia, UK and Europe (maybe Canada?), and a stripped back version for lots of other places
It is a set which is one of the most expensive concert sets ever created. It is so futuristic and she is just amazing. This is the best concert I have ever seen in my life. She mesmerises her audience and transports them into another world. When it ended no one wanted to leave! What an experience!! ❤❤❤❤❤
This tour is by far the best stage set ever… it was an absolute spectacular… dancing water…. So sleek, a true visual feast for the eyes and ears. Her high note in confide in me, got the biggest reaction ever. Check it out
@@Matthew-ij3zm I wouldn’t say nothing like it 😅 But yes, it incorporates elements of the Halo remix and trances it up but it is a euro house track in its original form. Always a highlight of any tour 🎉
The backdrop/set was in fact created by Kylie and her team, it wasn’t an existing pillared theatre, that travelled the world.. recreated in every city.. what a tour and benchmark for any other artist for this iconic vision and tour.. wow.. just wow..
This tour was something else! The jets were so high and was a spectacle to behold in person. The following year Kylie did a handful of shows called “Anti-Tour” completely stripped back, just her and the band on a small stage in front of about 600 fans (depending on the venue) B-sides and rarely performed album tracks - completely the opposite but one of the best shows ever just for superfans and again was electric in person
Great reaction, the whole show takes insight from Greek Mythology so the back is repentant of a Greek amphitheatre, and Kylie is Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love, all the lovers is where her fans get our name, Lovers. The first song is On A Night Like This and for this tour was remixed with DJ Sammy's Heaven I'm sure For Week 2 may i suggest Confide In Me Slow Come Into My World All The Lovers Better the Devil You Know
I mean, she only had the big stage for Europe, UK and Australia. For North America and Asia she performed in way smaller venues where there was no catwalks, no B stage, no water features, but still a fantastic show.
This show was absolutely epic. My friends were in the splash zone and got drenched. I have seen so many artists in 49 years live. Dolly, Radiohead, Bjork, Tori Amos, Jeff Buckley, Madonna, MJ, Janet, INXS, Christina and many many more but Kylie is something all to her own. She exudes joy, authenticity and love in every single show. Check out stuff from the ANTI-TOUR and any of her concerts ever. Also, she has really good duets to investigate.
I consider Madonna the undisputable Queen of Pop, Britney is the Princess of Pop, and there are other Princesses alongside her, but Kylie is the GODDESS of Pop.
This tour was epic. Her live performances of Confide in Me in NYC and Your Disco Needs You in London are also fantastic. Also her performance at the Brits last year I think it was. She really IS pure joy and always has been. And so humble and generous and kind with her time and her fans. Even her interviews are genuine.
Kylie is just... pure magic... Her music, shows, videos. She's so pure, talented and real. It's amazing to see her, that smile. You should continue react to her career... It's, easily, the most important woman in Pop after Madonna.
I saw Kylie in London on her 'Showgirl' tour in 2005 and it was honestly my favorite live show ever. She doesn't just put on a concert; she delivers an incredible 'experience'.
I was there in the front row and I got soaked and trust me I loved every minute of it and can't believe it's already been 13 years can't wait to see her again at the O2 next year
When this tour came through Orlando, the Hard Rock Live was too small to accommodate most of the stage accoutrements, so what resulted was a more intimate show. Regardless of the absence of much of the amazing show pieces, she and her singers, band, and dancers still made a show that remains in my top 5 concert experiences even this decade-plus later. I’m also thankful they filmed the concert in 3D and released it on blu-ray, back when 3DTVs were still a thing. I’m excited for her upcoming return this April; tickets purchased as soon as pre-sales opened.
I was right behind her in this, in SplashZone VIP, was the best 10mins of my life! Try watching her 2002 Brit awards and her Crying game medly live performances, they are ICONIC amongst her fans
Kylie IS Joy. She’s like breathing 100% Oxygen. It’s a shame the US have been sleeping on her. But you’ll get your chance next year on her TENSION world tour coming to the US 🇺🇸
This was the best show I have EVER seen. And this finale sequence was jaw dropping. Gives me chills every time I see it. And yes it’s a set!! A very expensive one 😍
On A Night Like This has its origins some ten odd year prior to this performance. Kylie performed that song at the Sydney Olympics closing ceremony in 2000.
What a great reaction! Insightful commentary from you two... even though you don't have a ton of experience with her, you clearly 'get' Kylie. And, you're so right, she is the personification of joy on stage. She also has this innate ability to embrace the highbrown and the lowbrow at once in the most charming way -- when you see her in concert, it's almost like she's winking at you saying ... "isn't this ridiculous? But... also sublime?"
Another great reaction to the icon that is Kylie, thank you, thank you, thank you! 😊 I subscribed to you guys because you appeared in my timeline to a video reaction to Padam Padam, I’ve watched every Kylie reaction you’ve done and can’t wait for more reactions to Kylie’s music, videos and tours. My recommendation would be to watch the opening to Kylie’s Fever tour from 2002. She sings come into my world and the entrance is iconic, you guys would LOVE it. Thanks for your reactions, you’re both so cool! 👍🏼
her showgirl tour and her x tour has some secial moments , too. also the fever tour from 2002 is special. for example the oeting to all of those shows. but especially on a night like this from the x tour, or step back in time (also x tour) . light years/ i feel love, confide in me, or the crying game medley from the fever tour, alre amazing. her newest album tension ll is amazing, worth a listen. and singles like slow, chocolate, on a night like this are amazing, too. besides so many other stuff oh and her live version of say something with the gospel choir . sooo so many stuff to react to and to discover. and she loves what she is doing , that is why it feels authentic
Aphrodite Les Folies ("lay foe-lee") is the name of the tour. Everything you're seeing there is a touring set that she took around the world. The whole show is AMAZING!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed your Kylie reactions! And yes - you’re right! She emanates genuine, unpretentious joy. Hope you’re interested to dive into her discography. She is a gem. Thank you for your reactions! Can’t wait to explore your channel. Subscribing.
This whole tour is spectacular. Its to this day the most spectacular show ive seen. There was much content being created at the time i went to this show so there were no spoilers so it was a total suprise every element.
You guys should take a look at a live performance she did with Nick Cave of their song 'Where the Wild Roses Grow' It's in a small club and the audience go nuts when she pops up by surprise, and again you see that pure joy shine through. Watch it!!!!
Aphrodite Les Folies was the tour for her album Aphrodite. It was the tour set, and it travelled the world. I saw her perform the same in Melbourne. You can see in the middle of the walkways, there was PREMIUM seating ($$$): the Splash Zone. People were given (as part of the cost of entry) KM branded plastic ponchos...
Them talking about how the song alone makes them feel like they are in the beach, chilling... while the official music video is pretty much an orgy is SENDING MEEEEEE...
I was fortunate enough to see her in NYC in 2009 at Hammerstein Ballroom - it was maybe a 5 city tour in the U.S., and for a smaller venue ( she’s touring stadiums this year here ) it was SPECTACULAR. I adore her, and can’t say enough great things about her as an entertainer.
I will FOREVER be jealous of all the people that saw this show live. Like... I was gagged watching it on my computer. And to all the people going to her new tour, yall better show OUT for mother and shower her with love and energy during the whole show.
pretty sure this tour was at the time the most expensive tour ever.. by anyone.... . Kylie Always puts on a show but within that show you will have moments of nothing going on but her on stage.. and she connects fully with the audience. I will say that if you want to react to any Live show performances id have to say the X tour ( which I think is her best) the like a drug/slow moment if phenomenal. the most visually amazing entrance with like a drug and the rock version of Slow is nothing short of spectacular.
The entire Greek temple was her sets all of those columns. The waterworks was created by the team from the Bellagio. I think it’s still is the most expensive set created for a tour. You should see the entrance when she comes up as Aphrodite Her new tour started in February and the North American leg starts March 29 in Toronto
Love your channel, I was in one of those shows in Europe, and it is all the set. All the background is all part of the actual set. It was incredible, I never saw her again until this year in Vegas. It was her last residency show at the Voltier, and once again, she was flawless.
Would love for you to watch some more of her performances - she is an artist that nails the assignment every time - she knows her audience, like performers coming up out of a pool while muscle guys in speedos writhe about, coming up out of the ocean as the Goddess Aphrodite in a swim cap - sign me up for that campness.
#KM Guys there’s a fantastic 3D version of the show…..amazing…..I saw the show in Brisbane Australia…beyond visually spectacular and then her voice was on point ❤. Watch her rehearsal videos. And what the choreographers say. She picks it up in a flash. She works like a Trojan horse , and is as sweet and personable in the flesh. And authentic ❤
On a Night Like This was released in 2000, and All The Lovers was released in 2010 - with a number of incredible mixes in the time since. Please, please react to her new epic LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION
Too bad none of the fans in the USA & Canada got to see the full concert with water effects. Iconic. I know she did a few theater shows with no water in the USA. I’ve only ever seen water in Britney Spears Dream within a Dream tour.
