Thank you all for the recommendations, I immediately listened to Flower, and it's heartbreaking. I read the story behind it, and I don't know how someone has the strength to sing about that, I'd be sobbing.
Wow kylie has so many ballads, she made an orchestral album "the abbey road sessions", other is in the fever tour of 2002 she made great interpretation "the crying game"… Flower it’s a good song too
Great reaction. Made me love the album even more. Totally agree about the last two tracks though. "Bittersweet Goodbye" off her 2000 Light Years album is one of my favorite Kylie ballads. Also "Ocean Blue" from that era. And definitely "Sincerely Yours" and "Music's Too Sad Without You" from Golden (2018).
Ballads: She did an Abbey Road Sessions album with most of her hits and Never Too Late is an amazing ballad version. Bittersweet Goodbye, Flower, Waiting for the Sun from Kiss Me Once is amazing, Music's Too Sad Without You, If You Don't Love Me. Just to mention some of them.
Kylie Ballades recommendations: "Bittersweet goodbye", "Music's too sad without you", "Flower", "The crying game medley - Fever tour", "If you were with me now", "Jump", "Dangerous game". Ah yeah and some recommended "Ocean blue" I forgot about that one.. also a nice one! 🙂
kiss bang bang why is it only me who doesn't get the Padam Padam reference ? I think they are completely different . btw what an album. pure brilliance
Ballads: Flowers, Where the wild roses grow, The crying game medley - live at the fever tour 2022, Music's too sad without you, Bittersweet goodbye, Put yourself in my place, Tears on my pillow, Especially for you.
Where the wild roses grow , especially for you and devotion are her best ballads and the first two are also major hits . Devotion unfortunately never became a single .
Favourite Kylie ballads coming to mind right now are: "Confide In Me" (it's kind of a ballad right?); "Where The Wild Roses Grow"; "Devotion"; the Abbey Road Sessions version of "Finer Feelings"; and also "Who Were We?"... I also want to say "Beautiful" but that has very heavy vocoder as a stylistic choice which most people seem to get repulsed by but I kinda love it, it's like two robots singing a love song to each other in a dystopian sci-fi film or something 🤖❤🤖
You could classify plenty of her songs as ballads - Where the Wild Roses Grow, Slow, Confide in Me, Finer Feelings, Put Yourself in My Place, Chocolate, Breathe, If You Were With Me Now, There's No World Without You, Especially for You, Tears on My Pillow and you can also just listen to everything on her Abbey Road Sessions album!
My top 5 are probably someone for me, kiss bang bang, good as gone, taboo and hello - i think. Its a great album. The only song im not loving is diamonds.
I'm a kylie fan, but tension 1 and 2 can't weren't my favorite. DISCO album was her best album 2 date. Every single from disco album was single worthy.
