PRIDE SATURDAY! 🌈 Kylie Minogue - Your Disco Needs You | REACTION Please LIKE & SUBSCRIBE! Twitter: / pancakemd1129 Instagram: / pancakemd1129 Thanks for watching!
This is definitely a Gay anthem. You should watch her perform this live, she always does the high notes at the end and it’s FAN. TAS. TIC. A good example is her Kylie Christmas concert, if you want to react to it. Or the X2008 performance, too.
When the writers of this song were writing it, they imagined Kylie on a tank rolling down Oxford Street in London leading a gay army ............... true fact
According to Google, Kylie was apparently dissatisfied with this video, so they filmed some extra scenes and put 'em into a new video alongside the original footage, and released it for the German market with a slight remix of the song. However, it was considered even worse than the original video, so this one gets all the attention. Alternate version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-D7A0_EF4POw.html Also, no one ever seems to mention that some of the special effects from the video, reference a scene from the 1980 movie "Xanadu". In case you didn't know, it's a cheesy musical starring Olivia Newton-John (another Aussie), which bombed at the box office, yet slowly gained a cult following over the years, whereas its soundtrack however became a huge success. Finally, here's a link to her performance of the song at the Royal Albert Hall in London, that everyone keeps mentioning. Her high notes at the end will surely impress. I was there when she was recording this with 4 tenors and a whole live orchestra back in 99 . No one knew she had it in her for the operatic vocals at the end of the song . Since that day ( and a half ) in the studio watching her record this it will always be my most favourite Kylie song and still curse the day EMI didn’t want to release it as a proper single .
There's actually 2 versions of the video and i'm certain the audio in this music video is the casino radio & club version, it has a different arrangement. The video looks like this because there was no budget and the label didn't even want it as a single, it got a limited release in mainland europe (germany, austria) and australia, i have the CD single thanks to amazon germany haha, you should definitely react to a live performance of this because she does the operatic high notes at the end live.
So random, I literally listened to this song last night for the first time years and was thinking how I'd love to see a reaction video. And here you are! Thank you!!!
Hello You are looking wonderful tonight you really got into the groove. Love this song great choice. See she stole your mirror. Love the Busby Berkeley imagery she has in the video.Take care.
There is also a song called Let's Go Disco by The Real Thing from the soundtrack of Joan Collins film The Stud in the 70s . Very raunchy film for it's time. Joanie was perfect for it
This video brings me back so many good memories. Moving to London, going to see her comeback at Astoria Club, then the release of her campiest album to date Light years. From 99-2001 Kylie had one of her best fases. One great song after another. Unfortunately YDNY was never officially released in UK as it was considered by her label company at the time too gay… kylie’s song being too gay? Nooooo way!!! 🤣🤣
Love your reaction. Love the gloves i have a face mask with rainbow heart & a rainbow umbrella but no gloves☹️😁 Love that you react to Kylie Was waiting for you to do this song I love it! It never fails to cheer me up! Never seen this vid before but have seen her do it at the Albert hall in London please react to that she hits the notes at the end. Please react to angry Anderson-suddenly this is the song played at Charlene (Kylie)and Scott's(Jason Donavon) wedding in neighbours the Aussie soap that the Brits first saw Kylie.jason was also a pop star signed to the same label as Kylie and Rick Astley before he went on to the westend in musicals like Joseph and Priscilla Queen of the desert.you should watch the film too! Happy pride month! love is love🌈
You should definitely check out her performance of this on a German TV show (Germany being the only market where this got a proper single release). It doesn't get much camper than that. Kylie giving us gay sailor realness. Worth its own reaction video. Here's the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Wy5-tpu-RCY.html

This is way off the song topic, just sharing for pride. In 1998 or was it 1999 I was there at the Roxy in NYC when Cher performed "I Believe" before anyone knew about it....Sandra Bernhardt also performed....it was more recent than Studio 54 that NYC was relevant....no offense but this is so "after". Look in to Debra Cox and Lisa Stansfield from the end of the 90's for some great originals that were actually original. I don't at all mean to be negative, I'm just saying....I'll also do some research to bring forward other artists of the time and hope others will pick up where I leave off. I was immersed in NY club life 1998 to 2000 from Manhattan out to Fire Island. Compared to that, this is weak.
