alright so before i will spam you guys with infinite civil war videos next week i thought i'd drop off this little kylo tribute
i started editing this video as soon as i got the dvd and i must admit that first i wanted it to be a kylux vid. this song is on my kylux playlist and it literally fits so well but yeah with all that 30 second screen time that hux aka domhnall gleeson has it was just impossible and then i realized how well the song fits for kylo.
feel free to discuss you emotions about him because i am conflicted as heck because obviously i do think he's this embarrassing little vader-fanatic but i am so sure (and we will find that out over the next 4 years) that there's been something darker and more evil than just 'he turned against luke and was disappointed by his father' kinda conflict. i believe that's out there because that's what adam driver's great performance tells me. so i thought why not make a tribute so here it is, enjoy!

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with Kylo Ren. He's my favourite from Force Awakens. I like how he is portrayed by Adam Driver, you can see he's conflicted. I don't think he was suppose to compare to Darth Vader as a villain as Vader is without doubt evil when he's introduced whereas Kylo seems to be teeter on the edge.

Well, when we first meet Vadar in the OT, he's been a villain for 20 years. Kylo Ren is just getting started. In the prequels, it was pretty obvious to me that Anakin was being slowing pushed to the Dark Side by the Emperor over the years. Yet, most people seem to believe he was a "bad seed" from the start. And by that I mean, even when he was a boy. But who did the boy Anakin meet on the way to Jedi Council in the Phantom Menace? Chancellor Palpatine! Anakin was not evil, he was manipulated the same way Kylo is. The difference is that Kylo was raised in a different set of circumstances. Kylo was not born into slavery and had 2 parents who loved him, but just weren't around a lot. Anakin was born into a harsher environment by comparison.

Vader was always conflicted it’s was just done more low key and was a lot better. First 20 minutes of a new hope when they are talking about the Death Star Vader is very subdued in his disapproval of such a thing and it works perfectly where as kylo ren they just scream at you hey look he’s conflicted then have him do something clearly disproving what they just set up

He is the Dark Knight of the Soul He is the tortured monk alone in his cell He is the adolescent changing into a man He is the Oedipus who kills his own father He is the Fallen One He is the Dark Angel He is the volatile temper of the unhinged He is the Dark God He is the predator He is the lost boy He is the rage in every (wo)man He is the partner to the light The black dot in the white. I am empowered and enchanted by Adam Driver's portrayal of Kylo. The depth he commands is incredible and for me contains all the dark emotions that can be inspired by loss, fear, death, destruction of the balance within, loss of innocence, psychotic episodes, loss of control, sexual power, awakening.... it can't be described. Driver's training at Julliard and his stint in the Marines have given him a depth of control and emotional flexibility that is just stunning. I am ...for sure.....in love. Mmmmmmmm. This performance, the cast, the characters and costume design (Monk Warriors!) have totally inspired me and rocked my world. The videos abound and the level of skill in editing is varied but generally very good. I like how you, in particular, have blended other characters and situations into the mix. Super awesome video. Adam Driver portrays this character so beautifully, Kylo Ren is now my favorite SW character. He was amazing in Last Jedi.

But in all seriousness, after i saw Kylo in TFA i thought all the backlash against him was exaggerated and i thought he was my favorite character at the time, and i love him even more after The last jedi (Which is so far my favorite Star Wars movie)! #DISNEYMAKEREYLOCANON

I fucking love this song so much it's not even funny. It goes so calm and then so angsty and tense and it's just flat out amazing. The editing quality and timing is amazing as well, and overall I can't even think of any words to describe how much I love this video and this song because I have been listening to this for 2 days straight now

Yeah it’s a cover that Hidden Citizens did of Ciara’s Paint it Black. If you’re looking for a version that’s less rock and a little more dark pop, then I suggested you check out the original too. Both are really good in my opinion.

Amazing video! Absolutely beautiful editing, and captures Kylo's character very well. There's nothing I dislike more than fan videos where they manipulate the footage to use only the bits of him looking sad and conflicted in order to victimise him. There was a perfect mix here, you saw his more sinister moments and his more conflicted moments. I just loved it! Maybe I'm going too deep and picky here, but its definitely my fav Kylo video at the moment. Would love to know the artist of this cover? Obviously it cant beat the original but it was very good.

Caitlin Golder I mean he kinda is like a victim. George described Vader as a victim because Palpatine manipulated him to do bad things. Same goes with Kylo although Kylo was manipulated wayyyy earlier than Anakin was. Ever since Ben was a kid, he had Snoke in his head. I mean Kylo does really evil stuff but he is also a victim just like his grandfather. Also i know this is a year old but Kylo's character has changed so much since then.

VILYAXxX0llwyna I LOVE THIS VIDEO AND KYLO REN (MY HUSBAND) SO MUCH!!! A TRIBUTE WITH HIM AND THIS MUSIC ESPECIALLY IS AMAZING!!! When you showed him using the force with his hands it was brilliantly executed and I cried when you showed his face at the end!! Please please make more videos if you can. PS: If it helps, I don't think he is pathetic but he is a Vader wannabe and acc is like him (and more) because he is VERY POWERFUL and did something he couldn't.......kill his father. He is powerful, strong, determined, badass and emotional, emotionally complex. I find him amazing and I am fascinated with him even if he is a MASSIVE arsehole!! I usually support the good guys, but now I have NEVER been so emotionally invested in a villain before hence now I am stuck between the good/bad side!! Adam driver is an amazing actor because of this and he is beautiful in his own way too! Anyways, please make more Kylo Ren videos and anything else for that matter, if you want! :)

I'm not sure if the original would have suited the style of this video though. Obvs nobody is denying the original is better, because its the fucking Rolling Stones of course its better. But the slightly slowed down softer version seems to fit the tone of this video better than the original one would.
