Kynosys Drill Press Dust Collection System / DIY

Whenever I used the drill press, I thought a lot between the fastening of the drill bit and the perfect dust collection.
There was always a conflict between how to fasten the drill bit comfortably and wanting to collect it with an airtight container regardless of it.
Now I've made that solution a reality.
Arms that can move from both sides to the drill chuck part were installed and made to stick with magnets to make it easier to fasten the bit.
Transparent acrylic was used in the dust collection tube to check the drill work.
In addition, the acrylic dust collecting tube can be adjusted according to the height of the board so that the dust collecting tube and the beam can be closely attached regardless of the height of the board.
The iron product I used as an arm for dust collection used IKEA's adjustable mirror, and the price is very low.
I think it's also very important to find the right material for DIY.
While creating an automatic up-down drill press system, the back of the table was made spare to implement such a dust collection system.
If you want to make this dust collection system, I recommend expanding the table of the drill press first.
I will use it a lot in my drilling work in the future.
I'm very sensitive to dust collection and ventilation in the workshop because it's closely related to health as well as work efficiency.
I'm very proud of my work, and I think it can be a hint to you.
Enjoy watching the video, and please subscribe and like. Thank you.

I'm not rich at all. If I had a lot of money, I would probably build a tool and parts museum. About 20 years ago, when I was making something, there were many times when I was missing a screw or a suitable part, so I had to rush around looking for it. I thought about it then. This is a waste of time. I will create a workshop equipped with all the tools and parts that I can make. I promised this. Of course it's not possible. There are so many different standard tools and parts in the world. But, the workshop you are looking at is a parts store that has been created through my efforts and is still evolving. It's a treasure trove for me. Even today, I look at the treasures in my treasure trove and study how to combine them to create new works. These are happy times. I am more than happy to be able to spend this time with you. thank you!

@@Kynosys_ LOL.t i think i have a nice wood and metal shop, and loads of tools so i can't complain i guess but nothing on your level. and i am a old man so....running out of time to reach your standards. but my shop is mine man's cave . the materials you use are out of my reach qua budget and i live up in the snowy mountains of Norway so besides pine and birch there is not much else to find to work with that is affordable. Norway is expensive special on hardwoods or good crossfineer gold is cheaper.

Thank you very much for your words of praise. Acrylic material does not become shiny when cut with a saw blade. One way to make it transparent again is to instantly melt the surface with high heat. While drilling, I tried to get a better view of the inside.

How difficult he makes everything. Amazing. It could have been simpler and better. For example, in this video, why are there two holders, one is enough. The place of its attachment should not be on the side but behind the support of the machine; the dust removal hose can be run directly along the holder...
@Kynosys_
@Kynosys_ 3 месяца назад
Am I making things more difficult? Your perspective is amazing. For example, in this work, There are at least 10 working tips that you should pay attention to. You missed it all. God also made two arms. You have an amazing perspective that you only need one. Of course, you can take the view that you can have one arm, or even none. I encourage you to have the right perspective on a priori attempts. There is more value than right and wrong. thank you!
