The Kyogle Story is a documentary of the history of the Kyogle district in the northern rivers area of New South Wales, Australia. It was first settled by Aborigines of the Bundjalung nation and European settlers in 19th century through timber and dairy industries, and now famous for the lifestyle of its surrounding villages and spectacular world heritage listed national parks.

Hi Paul Our Driver's Group are planning a trip through Kyogle in May and I've passed on this video to the organisers, Paul & Trudy. I hope some of our drivers and passengers will not only watch the video but spend some time in Kyogle on their way to the coast from Stanthorpe.

Ian, That’s terrific. If they happen to be there in a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday the museum is open in the mornings. Well worth a visit.

Stopped in kyogle today from killarney on our way back to plastic city (GC) Its a great town....I could live here. Interesting story about Kyogle

The creeks in kyogle have some of the best bass fishing I caught a 54.3cm 2kg bass in the kyogle river

Thank you. My mother spent much of her childhood in Wiangaree. Her name was Fay Olive. One of a very large family. Her sister, Noreen married Clem Burke and in Kyogle their entire lives there. Mum had many happy memories of her childhood there and married my father, Clyde Titcume in Kyogle, who was teaching at Coogal at the time.

Glad you enjoyed the video Ken. I was in Kyogle a couple of weeks ago and the video is running in the audio visual room at the Museum. I hope it gives visitors and locals alike a sense of the history and character of the town and villages.
