The older i get the further i go back in my rc-history and i really like these entrylevel cars. They are really fun and represent the very idea with the hobby- having fun! 😊👍
Haha, well I figure he (Icarus) was only one guy so I'm really not sure how to make one guy plural. Of course, I didn't really pay attention at school, maybe it shows. 🤣 Thanks Owen, glad you enjoyed the video mate! 🙂👍
Awesome Classic Build's Mick . Yes I too Wanted any of these buggies, and was gifted a Jethopper for Christmas in '85 oh well at 11 yrs old still was a blast and i loved that little car , great video again mick , Thanks for posting Budd.
Thanks Andrew! Haha those Jet Hoppers were a little beast, especially running on NiCd batteries. I had a Jet Hopper 2 but it just didn't seem to be as fast or fun as the original Jet Hopper a mate had. Cheers mate! 🙂👍
G'day Mick!!🤠🙋♀️. Awesome effects mate, we watched it on the TV and it was perfect🏆, definitely worth the effort and the wait👌. That window tint started out a nightmare and you recovered with a sensational finish mate, we always struggle with tint but the last one we did we got it right, never thought of using black before🤔👍. Flattening the cotton tip out was a great tip too, thanks for the tips n tricks mate. Ingrid spotted your X-MAXX and baby brother😳she loves them🕵️. Squeaky Clean👌😁. 36 year old decals😲, we're surprised they were any good, nice one!. Great job all round Mick as usual👍, Thanks for producing and sharing your video and showing how you did it, congrats on a beautiful build too mate🏅. G'day from Ingrid😍✌️, she's impressed also Mick😁🦘🇦🇺
Hey mate! 👋 Thanks mate, I think I've seen The Evil Dead too many times 😂. Been taking ques from Sam Raimi. 😂 Oh that can of window smoke!!! haha, what a pain! I knew it was gonna be risky since the can sounded empty but I thought I'd take the chance... Bad idea! lol Yeah that's it mate, if you have an airbrush just thin some black and go for it. I wanted to use the Tamiya paint though as is more durable then most airbrush paint. Not that it really matters as the car won't be run 🤷♂️ Haha that X-MAXX is just an ornament these days, and it's little brother hasn't even had a run lol. Haha, I figured the "squeaky clean" might creep some peeps out, aah well! 😂 Yeah I'd say the kit was stored with care. If it was left out in a shed or something, no way would the decals still be good. Thanks mate, glad you guys enjoyed it. G'day, Ingrid! 👋 Cheers mate! 🙂👍
Great job mate luv the old Kyosho kits! I have a Bandido myself, built one back in the 80's and found a spanker recently for my collection. Keep up the good work!
Thanks mate. Oh yeah, the vintage Kyosho buggies are sweet! Good stuff, the Bandido is a classic. Great to hear you got a nice fresh one! Thanks mate will do. 🙂👍
These are super cool l love this series of buggies! Budget goodness well they were back in the day! Don't see many around now so the decent ones ain't cheap! I think my favourite is the Pegasus even though its suspension is not up to much but interesting buggy! Love the glasses l really need some of them! My eyes are on match sticks after 20 mins of tyre lettering! Great job as always Mick looks stunning! Seeing all that paint splatter everywhere was upsetting to watch man!! But air brush to the rescue! Great vid my friend cheers James😉👍
They are mate. I really liked them as a kid as they were something I could (almost) afford. That's true, people want an arm and a leg for a mint one. I actually think my favourite is the Pegasus too. I can't go without those magnifying glasses these days. I think a lot of close work with the RC's might be making my eyes worse over time, so I rely on these a lot. Thanks mate! After that paint debacle I'm glad it's finally finished. Always the way though, if you're gonna have an issue, it's always gonna be at the final step, where you risk ruining the whole thing! 🤣 Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed the video! 🙂👍
@@RCHobbyShed Yeah fine details are a struggle these days l really need to invest in something like them! Iol before my eyes pop out! I do love the Pegasus l have never owned one but definitely on my future hit list! I just have that itch you know what l mean Mick! One day for sure l will have a Pegasus l don't think it will be a mint one but one will do! Take it easy buddy cheers James 🍻
It looks awesome Mick! I really like the looks of this one. They are getting very hard to find in good shape so you have a really rare one now! I doubt I would run it either, too rare and perfect to go scratch it all up. Beat up on the runner Icarus and enjoy that one! Great job on the painting guide and tips as well!
Thanks Addam. Yeah there's not a lot of them around these days. Pretty unique too, being the only buggy to have that front suspension setup. Yeah that's it mate, no point scratching this one up. I'll stick the the Icarus runner, even though that might be too pretty after it's clean up 😂. Cheers mate! 🙂👍
