This was awesome, can I ask tho is the fan on motor held by zipping through the fan hole and chassis in those two places😎😎and how do we know when motor is in the right holes on the bracket that’s never easy, thanks for this
I didnt have heatsink to mount the fan that time so I just drilled a hole ..lol and the factory bracket has lettering corresponding to how many pinion tooth (37 factory max). With my recent set up I'm running 47/68. My next video I will be showing my gearing 45/47 ratio. Waiting for 45 hard metal to pair with 45 spur.. my 47t aluminum is getting chowed..lol
Looking Good! I also have this same combo already waiting for my Kyosho Mercedes AMG GT3 that should be here late this month with all the upgrades I could get for it, lol...! :)
@@KaniZRC You know it! :) I am very interested to see your Center Drive Shaft mod in action also... Maybe you can also do a video about your cup mod as that Also sounds very interesting. :)
I too am getting it as i pre orderee it last week. I am also interested in this build and I was able to get ahold of a heatsink only, everything is sold out.
Nice man. How'd you get the pinion gear off the Kyosho G14L stock motor? I'm upgrading mine but I'm not sure if I can just pull it off without breaking.lol
Hi kany, i.know you have a 4000kv in nissan and a 5400kv in mercedes. Could you tell me the autonomy i can expect between both motor. I will run 4000kv in 3s or 5400kv in 2s and how it warm. Thanks a lot. I push your channel in France
4000kv you have option to use 2s-3s lipo. 5400kv max at 2s, however you can run 3s for short run but motor heat quicker. (Heat sink with fan a must) Overall both motor works excellent ! Its all depends on your pinion size, lipo c ratings, and driving habits nor style. And most important question ask,? HOW FAST YOU WANT YOUR CAR GO? 5400kv on 2s and stock gearing = efficient. 4000kv on 3s and stock gearing = faster and also efficient.
@@KaniZRC ok thanks a lot, now i really know what i want. I think i put a 4000kv and 2s and if i want faster i'll put 3s, you are a fazer mk2 champion!
68t spur 37t pinion 48pitch w/ hobbywing 3652 3s combo 4000kv. This far the best gearing without any drama. KaniZ center driveshaft a must for this set up (eliminate vibrations).
The kit included 2 fans, one in esc installed and one extra for motor. I used my other old fan for this set up. Saved the new one as back up. Powered direct from reciever channel. . thanks for Watching..
Hi there, has been over a year since this upgrade. I now make one piece driveshaft V2 and also I do custom metal mod 1 gears spur/pinion to fit fazer. Check me on fb/IG *you'll see gears I've cut on my post.
Hiya, awesome combo! I’m curious to see what numbers your speed runs produce! I have the exact same car and run a castle 5700kv sidewinder 3, fastest I got was 86mph, but no video of it just the end result(I was by myself). But on video I hit 78mph. Im trying to break 100mph if possible. You said you upgraded to a 44t pinion? Did you change your spur? If so, to what #teeth? I have a 41t pinion I want to use but the motor mount only goes to 37t. I have been experimenting with different spurs to see if they fit. Could you tell me how did you fit your 44t pinion in there please? Thanks in advance.
Ricardo, yes it's an awesome combo! On my latest speed run I've gotten 66mph at 80% throttle. I am using stock spur 68T and 44t metal pinion 48p. I modified some bracket and made new holes for 44t, then trimmed inside plastic to fit so won't hit the big 44t. You can use aftermarket bracket but then you exposing the gears with foreign debris, and more work because the gear black plastic cover holds the center shaft.
@@alphaalpha7758 has to be solder way.. you can buy pre installed connector and solder to red n black wires to wires esc. Easier route ..you double shrink wrap it
Sorry for late reply, that pinion adapter came with the box and it's an optional for 5mm pinion. This motor has 3.17mm shaft and not needed for this set up.
@@KaniZRC thanks, I bought the ezrun 4000kv combo kit, should be coming in today, bought a program card as well. Which heatsink fank combo do you recommend for it? Also where did you find the parts for a 37t Pinion. Did you upgrade to a steel spur or is that stock?
@@AvidRCWorld Awesome man! Definately nice system for 1/10 scale. www.amazon.com/dp/B074TYYQN8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I just needed the heat sink, I didn't bother using the fan came with its junk. You can pair it with proteck aluminum fan with housing for 17 bucks off your local hobby town. 37t Pinion I ordered thru ebay (amainhobbies.com). I upgraded to 44t on my latest vid.
