The Kyosho Landmax was purchased new in 2005 with the optional upgrade to fit the O.S Max FS-40CX engine. Back in the day, I used to run this car with others around the parking lot. Was a lot of fun but starting the engine was always left me with aching right hand from pull starting.
The car had been sitting on the shelf for over 10 years. I decided to get it running again and document for anyone who may be interested, the sound and the top speed of this Kyosho GP car. I had to pull the engine completely apart to clean all the oil sludge and gum out of the bearings and gears. Once cleaned the engine fired right up.
The Landmax originally came with a .21 (3.5cc) engine was a 1/8 scale sedan but by today's sizing, its about the dimension of a 10th scale electric car.
