Kyoto is the former Capital of Japan and considered one of Japan’s most historically beautiful cities! Kyoto is the cultural center of Japan with more than 1600 temples and 400 shrines! In this video I will show you how I maximized my two days in Kyoto. We will visit Fushimi Inari Shrine, Kinkakuji Temple -Golden Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Kiyomizu-dera Temple. In addition, I will give you a tour of my Gion “Geisha district”hotel and the amazing Nishiki market! This video will definitely help you with things to do in Kyoto Japan.

Sorry but I have to respectfully disagree with you on Kyoto. I had been to Kyoto 20 years ago. I just returned from Japan yesterday that included Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. Kyoto was historically beautiful but a nightmare otherwise. It has devolved into a large tourist trap and I can see why they had to make laws involving the Geisha and those areas. An example of what I mean is transportation. First it is twice the cost of Tokyo for the subway/metro. The train cars are outdated technically and mechanically. And everything is difficult to access as opposed to Tokyo. In Tokyo I could simply look up a destination in google maps and it would tell me where to enter, what platform, where to leave, etc.... everything in the subway in Tokyo was clearly marked and even a non speaking Gaijin can find his way around even in Tokyo Central or in Shibuya. I want to add that I had been to Kyoto before and loved it. It is now going the way of Venice and you may want to go before they decide enough is enough and close off major areas to the public.

Thanks for your detailed opinion. I can understand much of what you write. The trains are difficult to understand if you are a foreigner. But taxis are amazingly respectful and clean and easy! Of course Kyoto is so amazing everyone wants to see it- so that is why in my video I discuss best times to visit temples and Shrines. I loved Kyoto
