I have watched an indoor performance of them about one month previous. Very good, and one piece with just the first years. But a month later - this- it just blows you away. The quality, control, and energy combine to produce, literally, an unforgettable ... masterpiece!!! Thankyou.
Thank you..... If you follow and appreciate this group of musicians as I do....and the extra effort they exhibit in their performances... It's always a pleasure to see your posts. My thanks to Mr. Tanaka for an excellent job directing this group.
I realize that this auditorium has very good acoustics, however when you get this band seated so that they can focus on just playing, they really pack a potent punch! I've always been impressed with its trumpet section, but in this show, they have 17 of them blasting away. Naturally, they still work in some fun movements from their seated positions, but still ... WHAT A SOUND!!! I could spend the rest of my life watching Tippi pound the daylights out of her drums and never get tired of her mini-show.
I'm watching it again! I can't stop watching this performance everytime I see them on the right side panel on youtube. So addictive to watch! lovely! KT the best!
Love these guys!!!!!! They are mastery's of music! I understand they will visit California once again, for the 2018 Rose Bowl Parade, along with Band Fest and a concert at J.F.K. High School. Can't wait to hear their music and see the video's once again. Too bad they couldn't make a trip to the East Coast where a good part of the population of the U.S. lives. Maybe some day. Keep up the Great Work!
I've seen many professional brass band playing "Merry go round", the Tachibana version by far are still the best!, very alive and really fun to listen plus the choreography.
They adapt so easily to the environment whether marching or as an orchestra. Their skills shine through from their dedication to the name Kyota Tachibana
