You've got to qualify that with something, I think. The most skilled shoot-first PG of all time. Saying "skilled" by itself discredits CP3s passing and defensive levels, which are just as skilled as his ballhandling, finishing, and midrange shooting. You've got to go and look at highlights of him when he was 23 to appreciate how good a finisher he was--not on Ky's level with his offhand, but a similarly deep bag. I know it's all opinion, but I think CP3 is the most skilled overall PG of all time, where Ky might be the most skilled offensive player period (not the best, but other guys use physical tools as well as skills to be better).

Hard disagree. Best ballhandler? Yes. One of the most clutch players? No. He had the most clutch shot in NBA history but that doesn't make him one of the most clutch players of all time, you need to have more clutch shots on your resume to be in that conversation. For his size, shooting 45-47% from the field is really good, same with shooting 39% from 3. Also he's a great free throw shooter, 88% in the regular season and 89% in the playoffs. He has virtually every move in his bag, no question. He can use either hand, glass, fadeaways, spins, stepbacks, anything we name he can do either good or great. Master of the jump shot belongs to Kobe Bryant, Kyrie isn't even in the top 10 for that. In conclusion, at 6'2, pound for pound, Kyrie might be one of the most if not the most skilled scorers in NBA history but not overall skillful player. Playing defense takes skill, rebounding, passing, etc. It comes down to either MJ or LeBron for most skilled player, Kyrie might be with them in pure scoring ability but he doesn't even come close to any other area in basketball.

What excactly was settled? We've already seen Kyrie outplay curry head to head several times including the biggest stage and including when they were on the same team in fiba. Kyrie missed most the year and his team was a new team with limited time together. Kyrie was being gaurded by DPOY Marcus smart and the best defense in the league full of length and no weak links who could switch everything. They took away the paint and loaded up at the nail and on top of that forced Kyrie to defend every possession. When the fuck has curry ever been in a comparable situation?

Meanwhile when curry is healthy he’s going to the finals every year as the best player on his team. When kyrie was on the Celtics he made the team worse, now look at Brooklyn? He also had a horrible losing record whenever Lebron didn’t play in Cleveland.

He is near curry though. Don’t let accolades be the one thing that defines a players game not career. If kyrie gets his shit together he has a chance of catching Steph in rings
