I'm not afraid to say it. I think in his peak form, Kyrie Irving is the greatest scorer of all time in a 7 game series. I've never seen such talent and to do it with poise and as graceful as he does it. Absolutely no one could stop him this series. And he's incredible in the clutch too. Dude's a walking highlight reel. He's an offensive virtuoso. It sucks that we don't get to see him peak like this anymore.
As a Cavs fan ur 100% right he’s still lethal now and always been don’t get me wrong but when we had Kyrie he was indeed PEAK bro struck fear into mfs hearts😭
For him to play like this in that building facing elimination... at 24 years old. Just wow. One of the all time great performances for a player as young as he is. Hope he has 2 more games in him like this in him bc that's what it will take for the Cavs to win this series and make their own history.
+KingDud I'm with you. I've seen better and when you're missing a key player then you do this, seems kind of weak. It was a good performance but not all time great.
This nigga been shitting on Curry all series. Uncle Drew puttin in work, he don't need illegal screens to get his shot off. #CavsIn7 #UncleDrew #BELIEVELAND
+Dejour Hargrave curry can't guard for shit but it's not like Irving is a good defender as well, Westbrook would have individually torch him if they matched up
So we ain’t gonna talk about how mad Klay was getting guarding him.. and let’s not forget how great of shooter he really is. His shooting is too underrated!!
LEGENDARY performance. This dude absolutely SHITS on curry lmfao. Curry has no chance of guarding this man. Klay is a fantastic defender and even he can't stop kyrie. tonight was like a Kobe performance. I've said it and will continue to say it give me Kyrie over anybody else and this is why!
@@only1adonis Earlier this season when Nets beat the Warriors while KD was injured Kyrie locked Steph up in the 4th quarter while scoring clutch buckets to bring them the win. They’ve both improved drastically defensively but Curry has a much, much harder time guarding Kyrie than Kyrie does guarding Curry.
Watching this performance still gives me chills, a pure artist on the court and post game comments was hella mature considering he was just 24 at the time and already a leader. Man this is why ball is life 🔥
This is why the mid-range game is the way real prolific scorers play. Think of your top 5 greatest scorers. They all could score midrange. It's an art form.
You can straight up hear the shock and disbelief growing and growing in Mike Breen’s voice as the game goes on. Especially during Kyrie’s bonkers shot-making stretch in the second half.
Kyrie clearly outplayed curry-- i'm saying this as a warriors fan, but curry's defense was not terrible-- kyrie's offense was just that much better. case in point-- at 5:05, curry plays pretty good defense, but kyrie is just that much better. Saying Curry cannot guard him is irrelevant--- becuase who could guard him, if he plays like this? Not even Kawhi Leonard could do anything when Kyrie is playing like this.
I did. Even the way he celebrated after he had the and one on klay in the 4th quarter reminded me of the way he celebrated after getting the and one on Parker and Leonard in overtime. He was in that zone
5:25 i mean when he hit the slip n slide turn around fade, it jus started gettin silly at that point. Kyrie jus had the saiyan aura around him this game
The only Cav I really mess with, real humble and no showboating on court from him. Shot 70.8% from the field off 24 shots tonight, shit was crazy. He's also outplaying Curry in this series too Imo.
It’s been said at least a billion times. But I gotta say it. He was on a different plane of existence for Games 5,6,7. Not sure I’ve ever seen someone do things with the ball like this. He has a counter move ready at all times depending on the defense he’s facing. He can get anywhere, and is awesome from 0 to 30 ft. There’s so much improvising on his offensive moves. It’s like no two Kyrie plays are the same, or use the same move. He just has the handles and skill to get anywhere against anyone, and he finds a good shot regardless of the defense. He just attacks and spins, and counters, and shoots threes, and fades away, and finishes at the rim over anyone. There’s an alternate universe where Kyrie is the best offensive playoff performer in the league.
We were in school so this time in 9th grade we cant watch it live but we check the scoreboard and stats online my bad feeling came real both had 41 and warriors couldnt catch up. Legendary erformance especially its the finals
Media gives lebron the credit for the comeback in this series but anyone who actually watched knows it was Kyrie who led the comeback starting with this game
+Optimus Dime Bruh you're talking about a regular season game compared to a FINALS game. John wall ain't dropping no 41 in the finals. Stop. Kyrie is a superstar talent. it's a difference. yes wall is better at other areas but he isn't great at anything. Kyrie is the best scorer probably on the planet right now and as you can see tonight , scoring wins games. I can't even count how many times wall had 10+ assists and lost. Wall can't effect the game like Kyrie it's really as simple as that.
+Optimus Dime no because His team was TRASH in those seasons. his best player was dion waiters. He had NO Kevin love. NO shumpert. NO JR Smith. his team was hot trash. Wall even had a better team than Kyrie did in those years and he couldn't even make the playoffs lol give me a break. you wanna talk about trash defense lets look at all the times Kyrie has torched wall lmao. wall can't guard him to save his life.
+Optimus Dime Wall can go out and get your team involved no problem. Kyrie can do it to if he focuses on it. But Wall can not take over a game or get your team bucket after bucket regardless how tough the defense is the way Kyrie can. Wall can go out and get you 10 assists easy. We've seen Kyrie put up 10 assists as well. But when have we ever seen Wall come up as big as Kyrie has in various games? Such as tonight's game. When will we see Wall score 55 with 11 threes capped off by a game winner? When will we see Wall take over a game in San Antonio a month later and score 57, including 7-7 from 3 and the buzzer beater to force overtime? Kyrie's ability to score outweighs Wall's ability to distribute. And Wall's defense isn't as elite as people claim. Athleticism doesn't equal defense. And being among the steals leaders doesn't always make you an elite defender either. Curry led the league but is not an elite defender. Rubio also averaged 2 steals, but we know he is not elite on defense
Wow. The NBA could not find a way to beat you so it's like they took your editing style. Great work is always admired in the strangest ways. Great job, m8.
Like I said last year before Kyire got injured he would have been doing what Curry did all year. After he dropped 57 on the spurs last season I knew he was going to be special and that knee injury took a lot from him but shit its hard to tell now
I’ll never forget the expression on Klay’s face all series saying “I can’t do anything about this” Klay couldn’t have played better defense. Kyrie showed the world he’s a different type of animal in this series
Only concern going forward is where is their help gonna come from? Kyrie & Lebron 82pts Rest of team 30pts (Starters & Bench) ☆Lebron 41pts 16rb 7ast 3blks 3stl ☆Kyrie 41pts (70%) 6ast 2stl ☆Love 2pts #HowSwayHow Tristan had like freaking 6pts and he don't even shoot
