Also to clarify Solz’s bag definition. When you get to the top tier of bags it becomes more than a functional piece and it becomes art. Both a carhartt duffle and gucci duffle can carry things, but the gucci one is supposed to be “aesthetically pleasing”. So Lebron has a functional bag but Kyrie has an artistic designer one…that will distract you from the fact Curry’s offense can average a triple double and act as his defense
I would love to see that KD vid, but the definition of bag is very weird to me in this video. I’ve always thought of a “bag” to be measured by the variety of moves someone can use. While Kyrie certainly seems to have many moves in his arsenal to score, it seemed what was being acknowledged was Kyrie’s ability to accelerate and decelerate to lose his defenders which I would consider to be a part of his athleticism rather than his bag.
Well.. the key to “bag” is really how you accelerate/decelerate and using athleticism or lack of athleticism to get to the shot YOU want. Example Luka’s “bag” has nothing to do acceleration/deceleration. But his ability to use his lack of athleticism but also finesse with his movements with the ball to keep defenders guessing cuz he can impose his will cuz of his size
While Kyrie might use all of the above 😂 but I’d say it goes hand in hand.. gotta have multiple moves but also gotta know when and how to use em as well as accel/decel and athleticism Better example to compare Kyrie would be curry 😂 I think ppl would agree Kyrie might be more athletic than Steph but I think they both have a BAG! Of comparable caliber. Ppl say Kyrie is more athletic
athleticism is used in every part of basketball including handles and being able to change pace to break down a defender is part of handles or a "bag", while change of pace is somewhat reliant on athleticism it can still be effectively done by players who are less athletic than their peers like Luka doncic
@@kNeeko Luka’s bag has everything to do with acceleration and deceleration lol, just like Harden or Paul Pierce Sport Science even made an episode on him (Pierce), Luka is literally the best or one of the best at changing pace, he is so unpredictable the defenders can’t catch his rythm and his body control is insane for a 6’8 230-240 something guy. Every elite ball handler are elite at changing pace, Kyrie, Curry, Cp3, Trae Young, Ja, Mitchell, Poole, Murray, Harden, PG, KD …
That's what happens when your 6'0 tall and one of the greatest scorers of all time compared to someone whose 7'0 tall and one of the greatest scorers of all time
hey good on you for looking after your health. I used to be pretty big really theres no cheats you just gotta eat less calories than you burn and you gotta get used to being hungry until you get to a good weight. Vegetables and fruit help with the hunger cravings. Its definitely worth it when it starts payin off edit: its not as much about counting calories as it is just be aware that anything with a lot of sugar fat or salt will probably put you over for the day regardless of exercise
As a Follower of the Celtics I can attest to what Sage is saying.. Ever since he joined Boston he’s been one of my favorite players even after, seeing him in that Green has left an impact on how I see Kyrie Irving
Your comparing a 6’2 190 pound guard bag to a 6’9 260 pound player that’s crazy to me and I ball!! No way am I’m expecting Lebron at his height and weight to move like a Stephen curry or Kyrie for bron to be that tall and weigh that much and move how he moves you gotta give him credit!! Kyrie and Lebron dribbling and cutting is two different things weight player size plays a major factor in lateral movement quickness and speed while dribbling a ball that’s why I always say non ball players comparisons are usually wrong
Bro at this point I hate hearing people say LeBron doesn't have a bag, he does. Yall tend to choose the flashiness of a bag vs the effectiveness of it or how a player looks while doing it
Honestly a video of his best handles in Cavs/Celtics would probably be a even better showcase of his bag. Also, i do want that KD video. Cuz Solz is right lmao
What’s hilarious is I’ve seen LeBron do several of the same moves but it’s not called “a bag” cuz he’s 6’9 260 compared to 6’2 190 totally laughable in my opinion sorry it’s not seen as smooth cuz he’s bigger.
Solz literally thinks a bag is just being quick. He's gassing up a crossover in the first clip because it's quick and there's a little hesi there. 7 footers can't be as quick as a guy who's 6'2"
Kyrie goes first??? Where is the build up, the theatrics? You can't just start at the top and work your way down. That's not fair and every one knows it....
