Seen them at Peppermint Beach Club,Virginia Beach back when I was in the Navy in 92. They blew me away, still rockin till this day at 49 years of age !!!
Ever since I discovered Kyuss, I been listening to this album and band The fact they're not as heard of as other bands but have such quality and even better than some bands i listened to should not be understated, I wish we can spread their masterpiece album around more
This album...I would start the video when "Writhe" comes on, because it's the jam...this album changed what I wanted in music more than Nitvama, Metallica, or Joanie Mitchell...so much love, so many cassettes worn out...this is the Best Of The 90's...(Love Yer Channel)
One of the first concerts I ever went to was Danzig. He was touring on Danzig III: How The Gods Kill and his opening acts were White Zombie and Kyuss. (Touring on Red Sun) Crazy to think of that lineup now.
Hola!!! Bon dia!!! Aquest CD és una passada!!! Vora 30 anys que el porto escoltant i el trobo tan apassionant com el primer cop que el vaig escoltar!!! Pura magia!!!!!
Dear lord thank you for such bands as KYUSS ,MELVINS, SLEEP ,SUNNY DAY REAL STATE MUSICIANS MUSICINAS THANK YOU MY LORD FOR ALLOWING ME TO HEAR SUCH BANDS TO ENJOY
How many others are here because they were into QoTSA but then discovered Kyuss was the better band? Not in terms of musicianship/pure technical talent, but in the vibe they created. Nothing against Queens, but how incredible would it be if Josh made a new Kyuss album?
I had a friend show me them just after they became QOTSA, but I'd always seen the kyuss (and Tool) cover's in the metal sections at the time they were current but somehow missed listening to them. Just ment discovering great music later life, and it gets harder to hear new fresh exciting music after a few decades so was welcome....
Their best album IMO and one of the greatest of all time. 50 Million year trip and thumb are my top two off it followed by Freedom run and allens wrench....whole album just rocks!
Kyuss opening up for Danzig-When The Gods Kill at the Norfolk Boathouse. They turned the building upside down. I had many experiences there and I’m 50 now. This shit was absolutely insane. 👆
I still have the cassette. They along w/Fu Manchu were my go-to "Stoner"(although that term was not yet a thing) bands of that period. Good times indeed.
I got see Nick Oliveri's band Mondo Generator at Vino's in LR a long time ago and they were giving out cassettes, and Nick sat down with me and my friend and had some beers and we talked about bass rigs on the different Kyuss albums, he was really nice and generally seemed interested in his fans and how much we were influenced by their music over the yrs. Thanks a million Nick if you ever see this.
How the hell did youtube change from electro to this? It sounds really good but I was listening to electro before this. I think youtube is having Borderline. Lol, this coming from an ex Borderliner.
When I bought this in 1992 (the US version), it took me a few days before I realized that, when pronounced properly, it's "Chaos", not "Ky-Oohs"...🤔 J, Sweden
