Thanks for another insightful review. Interesting times for IEM: I was just watching the HBBs presentatio video for the Olina SE and I think that one looks even closer to the zx10 pro x than the dual damper one, with its new (relative) scoop around 5-6khz.
I equalized KZ ESX and KZ ZS10 Pro X using Equalizer APO (using many filters, step by step going every 250 hz) and after that I cant hear any difference between them. they literally sound identical. So I cant understand what's the point of BA technology. (other than it gives you more ways to tune frequency response) Without EQ ZS10 Pro X sounds much better than ESX of course.
The Pro X is better than regular Pro........DQ6 is very nice with small mod.....I can teach you if you want......CRA.....very very good and also easy to make better. So yes I actually agree the model you mention are very capable
I agree on DQ6 and CRA. I didn't have ZS10 Pro, but I had ZSX which were really nice back then, but quite big - just like really good, but even bulkier CCA CSN.
@@barbal777 I disconnect the two 6mm drivers, add a damper to the 10mm rear vent and a damper on the front shell vent. All finished with a 300 grade filter in the.noozle. result is pretty amazing!!!
How far apart in quality is the Olina and KZ ZS10 pro x? It has me interested now that those two are so similar in graphs? Do they actually come across similar in overall sound or are those differences in single DD vs BAs and DD too big? Coupled with those minor differences 4k upward. I'm just thinking which is the more exciting listen? More fun?
Great video, love your enthusiasm, it’s fun to get caught up in something someone’s clearly passionate about And I love the comparison with the original ZS10 Pro. All I’d read so far is that the treble peak has been “tamed” and that there’s more bass. But you make it sound like it’s actually a fairly comprehensive upgrade? I was already excited to receive my Pro x but more than ever now lol
@@adampa1006 yeah they’re brilliant. I’ve sold them now but that’s only because I got a set of over-ear headphones for Christmas (decided I prefer over-ears to IEMs) Before selling them though I compared them back and forth with my headphones, some Koss Pro4S £130 studio headphones. And the ZS10 Pro X were as good as them. I’ve only had one other set of IEMs before though, the 7hz Salnotes Zero. So I don’t know how big a jump the Pro X will be over the IEMs you already have. But I thought they were really impressive
@@adampa1006 The EDX Ultra by far gives the best bang for buck. The ZS10 PRO X by comparison are tame. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Great for mixing engineers. Sounds good even on mobile phones and tablets that have mediocre DACs. But yeah, tame.
Hi Akros, how are the mid bass on these compared to the ESX (quality wise), I had modded my cra+ almost every part for bass, but it seems ESX is just too good.
Well ESX has a 12mm driver.....so monster bass is to be expected. The bass of the ZS10PRO X is of better quality , but not as abundant in quantity. So yes ESX has more bass but not same quality.
Salnotes is more mature in its tuning....so more details more technical ability..... ZS10PRO X is pure unadulterated fun...... definitely my choice, as what it looses to the Zero in technical performance it very minor and makes up for with engagement!
@@akros9333 wow, awesome. Thank you very much for your detailed reply! At the end I decided to get them both since an extra IEM is always nice band handy to have. 😅
@@batmanz. those are some great genres lol. 90’s, 2000’s, hard rock and Metallica ;p Curious myself tho. Ordered a set today and wondering how they’ll handle metal
Compared to SG01 it's more a side grade than necessarily one being better than the other. The SG01 perhaps slightly more organic in its midrange sound.... ZS10PRO X more correct in terms of tonality in the bass. Treble on the SG is more real but a little unpolished, while on the X the treble is equally detailed but more polished, but you notice a little the BA metallic sound.
Many people doesn't care of KZ & CCA anymore, their quality control as well as customer service is inesistent. V-Shaped crappy products no more mate. #kznomore
@@paulosilva8200 yes they are trash I had problems with mic and mic button I'm 5+ KZ products and they don't have any warranty or anything All of the KZ cables were defective And my KZ EDX Ultra stopped working in just 2 days right side went quite And all of them literally sound trash I got CRA EDX ultra ZSN pro X ZST X and ZS10Pro All of them have garbage sound quality And CRA being the best sounding one still has worse treble peeks Mic in CRA was defective too
@@paulosilva8200 yes I added some cotton filter too but they still sound so trash I don't care about kz anymore KSBear CCA is all KZ playing with different names
