I bought the silver one from kztws on Christmas... Surprise so much,, cuz I didn't know what IEM was packaged from those bind buying... And so omg you know, when I looked at its faceplate...
I employed a small strip of blu tack, wrapping it around both tubes of my budget IEMs behind the silicone ear tips' flaps (ensuring the flaps attached to the tubes were straightened when wrapping around the blu tack strip, thereafter cover back the flaps). The impact was noticeable - the bass and sub-bass became tighter, the vocals gained a crisper quality, and the soundstage exhibited an extension. I believe the improvement is the combination of characteristic of silicone and form tips. Such tweak works well with all my KZ IEMs: ZNA, ZSN PRO, ZS10 PRO, and EDX (just bought KZ-Krila with tuning clicks and a piece of heavy bass IEM CCA-CA2, yet to open box and try them with Blu tack). You may play around the different impact with half or full filled of Blu tack strip. I tried silicone tips fully filled with Blu tack for TRN-BA5, the TRN IEM with one dynamic driver and four BA drivers, the impact was too strong, I was not comfortable with it and still experimenting other tricks to improve my listening experience. I suggest you run in your IEM for at least 30 hours before playing it with your tweak.
Surely it's much easier to use foam tips to achieve the same effect? Rather than messing around with blu tack and getting this horrible sticky stuff everywhere including in your ears (probably)? 😂
can you compare the pro 2 to the original pro? i'm feeling a little nostalgic for this as i started this hobby with the zsn and the zsn pro, which the pro died out a few years ago. *posted the question before watching the vid, lol. a better question would be: does the pro 2 perform less in anyway then the original pro?
The new one is a more controlled lower and upper frequency response, much less peak to the treble and a wider Vshaped than the traditional Vshaped signature of the original
mine's paint is fading bit by bit... using it for gaming... on topic: only have the og zsn (purple color)... was planning on getting the zsn pro x (skipping zsn pro) but good thing this came out... @@pragmatic_audio_reviews
how does the ZSN Pro 2 compare to the ZS10 Pro X? I have both on the way as well as the ZSN Pro X cuz i got good deals and am curious to see if i can notice differences between them
ZSN 2 Definitely has a better treble response, better controlled bass Much more mature running that the ZS10 The ZS10 having much more drivers has better details and deeper bass
@@theEmBoi overall i like the ZS10 Pro X best, it was only a few dollars more than the ZSN Pro 2 at the time and isn't as sibilant as the ZSN Pro 2 and ZSN Pro X, plus it has better technicalities. ZSN Pro 2 sounds good but it definitely benefits from EQ, foam tips, or tuning mesh to tame the treble. The ZSN Pro X is just a brighter ZSN Pro with more boring shell colors imo
@@theEmBoi oh btw, KZ recently started selling a new model - the ZS10 Pro 2. It apparently has better drivers and some tuning switches I think? I haven't seen anyone else talking about it since it's so new, so I am eagerly waiting for the reviews to start coming in. Considering KZ's recent PR troubles and this new set's asking price of 40 bucks, it'll have to be a substantial upgrade from the ZS10 Pro X. Lots of stiff competition in today's market, especially in the 30-50 dollar range
@@pragmatic_audio_reviews Sorry for asking but I’m coming from the KZ ZS5 What other contenders do you suggest aside from the Castor Bass? Thanks a bunch!
The quality is a little painful to listen to but it appears to be ok if you have a DAC & it doesnt seem to be as powerful or good as my ZSN Pro X & sounds better with equilizer/bass then the PRO 2
These were a major let down for me. They’re literally all treble and bass is weak. My original Kz Zsn metal iems are in a completely different league than these so called new upgrade. Please don’t destroy y’all’s ears lol
@@beyondboundaries703 what sound do you prefer? The Kz zsn metal on Amazon is around $25 and imo sounds much better but is has some peaky highs at times. Something that has more bass and still clean sounding would be the 7hz zero 2 for the same price
