Fun fact. Just to help you understand how badass Lu Bu was made to be, in the book he did not try to stop Ji Ling from leaving by blocking him like 1:39. Instead he grabbed Ji Ling by the back of the neck with one hand, lifted him and tossed him before Liu Bei.
Because this actor embodies the erratic and villainous character of Lu Bu according to the director Though he is indeed a great warrior, but Luoguan Zhong more emphasizes his flawed character to carry the plot
@Jay Philip S. That's because you can't read or speak Chinese and can't recognize the actual subtlety and cadence that is constantly at play in the 1994 show. Just because it's not exaggerated (often cartoonishly so) like the 2010 version doesn't mean its bad.
@Jay Philip S. And in the 2010 version, they go out of their way to make the fight scenes atrociously bad. So the best option is to watch the 2010 version for the acting, and then switch to the 1994 version when they have the battles and duels.
@Classic Gaming That's strange, I have the opposite view. A number of the actors in the 2010 version are stiff and robotic, especially Liu Bei. The 1994 series had a more dramatic feel, the actors and scenes were more theatrical and expressive, while the 2010 version tried to go for a more gritty feel.
That appearance is come from Beijing Opera, which even have flag and giant feathers on warrior's armor. In games, character's usually combined Opera and historical style, which looks better 😁
Pheasant feathers; they were decorative part of the helmet. I believed it was described in the novel. Most likely to characterise Lu Bu as a dashing and/or vain warrior.
Zhang Fei : ...... Lu Bu : ^^.....^^ (What you are drunk...your mistake and its a good enough reason to take over your land bahahahaha 😆) Lu Bu : Anyway...we are not here to see Zhang Fei's feel bad about what he did...we are here to witness my archery skills. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
The best part about this is just the lowkey threat that if they break their vow even after Lü Bu won, the fact that he was able to pull it off to begin with means he would've slaughtered them all by himself. This is the man who is touted as the greatest fighter in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
Lu Bu viewed liu bei as his little brother......big brothers always think they are a example to their younger brothers..... Another version: lu Bu knew he was stronger then Liu Bei.....and he just loved to express that to everyone. Thats what i think anyway....
Because he was in a dilemma and he was to aid either of them. If he aids Liu Bei, then Yuan Shu would be upset, and if he aids Yuan Shu, then his position in Xuzhou would be in danger.
Hmm i like lu bu more in the video games. I thought he did not like those robes. That and he just looks too normal. Was he not a very tall man with a voice like a thunderstorm? Still amazing if someone can shoot a arrow trough that small hole.
generals wear armour only in battle. when they they're not in battle, they wear robes -- which is just the common clothes during that era. at least for officials. besides, many chinese generals actually wear robes over their armour -- lu bu did too (it's just not shown in the games.)
@@Little-She-Devil At that time, the actor of Lu Bu was Zhang Guangbei, who did not have enough muscles in his body when he played Lu Bu, and in order to restore the image of Lu Bu, he could only force cotton clothes inside to pretend to be muscles
Killed his father for Ferrari car Killed his other father for Kardashian Stole his ally's territory because he's a dick Got caught and tied up by 3 of his own infantry soldiers. He's not a legend.
He was tied up by 3 officers. Infantry don't dare act on their own, because there is no guarantee the army will support them. Kardashian? Diao Chan was well educated and didn't have plastic surgery lmao.
this event is actually historical. lu bu's tomb was discovered in modern times (it was indeed confirmed by chinese kaogu archaeological team). in the tomb, they found his spear (he used a spear not a halberd).
