In physics, an inertial frame of reference is one in which an object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity unless acted upon by a force. This means there are no accelerations due to non-inertial forces, and the laws of motion, as described by Newton, hold true without modification.
On the other hand, a non-inertial frame of reference is one that is accelerating or rotating relative to an inertial frame. In such frames, objects appear to be influenced by fictitious or pseudo-forces, such as the Coriolis force or centrifugal force, which arise due to the acceleration of the frame itself. These pseudo-forces must be introduced to apply Newton's laws of motion within non-inertial frames.

Hello dear students!
This is very important topic of classical mechanics. In this lecture we will learn about frames of reference and their type. What are Galilean transformations and where they are applicable. Finally, we will drive the equations of Galilean Transformations.
These are the fundamentals. We will study all the important derivations and the applications of results in numerical problems in this course. The concepts are very use full for IIT JAM and other university entrance exams.
Thanks!!
Dr H. Singh
