@@PointsofData Well, choosing "lie" means you have some collected evidence that you can show to prove that the person is lying. If you don't have any specific evidence to prove they're lying but you still don't believe them for whatever reason, that's what the "doubt" option is for.

If I'm not mistaken, in most of development the "Doubt" option was actually called the "Intimidate" option which explains why Cole Phelps gets unusually angry when you doubt someone. I think they changed it because it seemed bad for PR if a game about cops was glorifying intimidation tactics but idk
