A film to see always! My family saw this film in the cinema and see this film all the years, by DVD, in our tv. God bless all the people who was involved in the realization and in the production of this unforgetable film! The Longest Day is a forever film! May God admit all the Army, Navy and Air-Force men who fought and with sacrifice of their onw life, for the nazism and the tyranny ends and so for the final freedom, in order to the democracy in all the Europe. Esatto, ma tra quelli che fanno i tedeschi ci sono anche altri attori che hanno sempre interpretato in altri film di guerra,basta vedere Curt Jürgens o Wolfgang Press
Beh tedeschi proprio no. Pur mettendoci tutta la più buona volontà di perdono da Cristiani comunque nessuno di loro è innocente. Soldati e civili sostenevano tutti il loro führer e la sua ideologia fino all'ultimo e fosse per loro adesso eravamo tutti vestiti in nero come beccamorti con i baffetti da sparviero sotto una dittatura terrificante e schiavi vassalli dei teutoni. Ma viva la democrazia occidentale tutta la vita. Anche se adesso le dittature vanno molto di moda tra gli analfabeti di mezzo mondo.

Comunque gli alleati non ebbero via facile in Normandia nonostante la superiorità numerica è la supremazia aerea la città di Caen che doveva essere occupata il giorno stesso dello sbarco il 6 giugno lo fu solo il 20 agosto 1944 perché era difesa dalla 12 SS panzer hitlerjugend . che ancora oggi è considerata una delle più temibile divisione con cui si scontrano gli alleati
Io sono stato a Omaha Beach ed ho visitato il cimitero di guerra americano. E' impressionante veder tutte quelle croci bianche perfettamente inquadrate. Ed ho anche visto i bunker tedeschi che difendevano la costa ed intorno ai quali c'erano i crateri delle bombe sparate dalle navi. Uno solo era stato colpito. Proprio per questo mi sono domandato come fosse stato possibile che un tale dispiegamento di navi militari con una potenza di fuoco pazzesca ed in più la presenza degli aerei, non siano stati capaci di disintegrare quei bunker al punto che se non fosse stato per l'eroica azione dei Rangers, lo sbarco ad Omaha Beach avrebbe anche potuto arenarsi sulla spiaggia.
il problema per le navi erano le correnti marine molto forti nel canale della Manica che impediva di stabilizzare il tiro . per quanto riguarda gli aerei sganciavano le bombe ad alta quota per evitare il fuoco contraereo è quindi era difficile centrare i bunker tedeschi
@@andreabarbanti4599 Però non erano poche le navi e nemmeno gli aerei per cui a me sembra che il fuoco di preparazione allo sbarco sia stato fatto proprio all'americana, tutto fumo e poco arrosto.
Hai visto anche i cannoni da 150? Io mi sono messo al posto del puntatore ed era proprio a filo della zona di mare davanti alla spiaggia, ma in modo da non essere visibile dal mare.
Finalmente qualcuno che ha in po' di cervello. Ti dirò di più,. Mi piacerebbe conoscere la storia, la razza e le tendenze politiche dei componenti la prima ondata di marines sbarcati sulla spiaggia di Omaha e che fu praticamente sterminata dalle difese tedesche.
It's a great movie but I believe that particular scene was not historically correct. A German officer one moment sees absolutely nothing, then the next he says he can see 5000 ships as if they suddenly appeared at once with no smoke trails visible from their funnels before. And... Allied parachute drops had been happening behind German defences since just after midnight, naval and aerial bombardments of German strongpoints were taking place before dawn, and nobody in German command has ordered beach defences to be especially vigilant?!! (Scusi per no parlare italiano, non parlo la vostra lingua bellisima molto bene)
US, UK, Canadian, French, Polish, and others troops landed that day. Among the planes were Poles, Czechs, Norwegians, Belgians, Danes, and all those already mentioned. Truly the United Nations.
Ma di quale organizzazione vai parlando? Se non fosse stato per l'eroina azione dei Rangers, lo sbarco sarebbe finito in tragedia proprio come lo fu il lancio dei paracadutisti e quello degli alianti. Se lo hanno fatto vedere pure nel film "Il giorno più lungo" significa che la realtà fu molto più disastrosa.
@@gualtieroconsolo3778tra l'altro non è neanche chiaro il numero dei dispersi perchè già il numero ufficiale è elevato,aldilà di questo secondo me il numero effettivo dei morti del D-day, ma in generale di tutta la seconda guerra mondiale è stato abbassato
There is a whole generation of planes designed during WWII that were to go into service in 1945, 1946 and 1948, that were overtaken by new jet designs. The Martin Mauler, the Douglas Destroyer II, the Skyraider, the Stingaree, the Ryan Fireball ( a mixed piston and jet type ), and the USAF had the generation of fighters and bombers like the XB-43 Mixmaster and the B-32 Dominator, some of which were built ( like the Skyraider ), but most were replaced by jet designs.
@@stevetheduck1425 Those four Douglas AD-1 Skyraiders were probably provided by the U.S. Navy whose 6th fleet helped with the making of this movie, or otherwise the French Navy which also operated the Skyraider during the making of "The Longest Day" in 1962.
