I have naturally curly hair and it’s pretty long. I bought this tool so I could have a looser curl when I wanted. I could not get my hair to curl with this thing. Instead of curls, it straightened it without me even using it as a straightener. I pulled it out again tonight just to try it, and again, no luck. This video is a lifesaver. Can’t wait to try this trick. Thank you!

My nephew is named Brice, and when he was little, we used to call it a big Brice blowout!!😂 Those blowouts can be crazy! Anyway, thank you so much for this video. I know it's two years old and you might not see this comment, but I have long hair and could not figure out how to curl the whole stand! All they shoe in Lange videos is women with shorter hair. I was about to give up but combined with your new tip and things I notice you doing, I was able to get my long hair to curl too!! Don’t give up on this tool! It really does work!! It’s all about technique and how slow you pull. My hair used to catch and pull but I have fixed that too! 🎉❤

Ok… I bought the hair tool… tried it and was perplexed why it didn’t work for me. I thought perhaps I have hair that might be too long for this tool. Before gifting it away, I decided to come on RU-vid and see if I couldn’t find a video of someone with long hair using it. Just got the grande and tried it how I *thought* it should work, but just doing the one rotation and drag down didn’t work at all on my long, thick hair. I watched this video and tried again and got the loose curls I was looking for (after combing through with a wide-tooth comb afterwards). Thank you!

It looks great. ... but it also looks like a lot if work. I have long thick hair too and the heat free bathrobe tie trick seems to be the easiest method with best results. Im considering buying this, but Im just not sure if its worth it. Also, the baby poop story was hysterical and soooooo relatable

Great tips! I think the curls turned out great using this hack. My hairstylist friends will curl hair like this with their flat irons, even though they aren’t the L’ange tools; So clearly, there is something to it!! Also, lol, at the end of the video with the kiddos’ blowout. I am a boy mom too! We just have to accept that it will be near impossible to stay clean until they are six years old or seven years old??? Lol

I don’t think you have to keep rotating it. You can just rotate it the one time and then pull it down. Just a tip to make it faster.

Thanks for the video. This should definitely help & thanks for the accent it’s lovely to listen to. I used mine today after watching videos for at least a half hour and even during and failed. I wasn’t turning lmao. But I did the bottom and had 1 good curl. With the grande you can take larger sections and works good for the longer haired ladies. Because the curls didn’t work I know at least it’s a good straightener & has good potential when I get the hang of it for curling. It looks like it takes equal time. I used my curling wand to save the day and typically my hair doesn’t struggle with holding curls but I could definitely tell where the wand saved the day and I had temperature up high. Hair products used: their “marula oil hydrating mist & thermal magique” and don’t quite have an opinion on them. They’re ok I guess.

I don’t have to twist mine or anything but I do mine way diff so much easier than some of the vids I’ve watched. My hairs shorter rn but idk maybe thts some of the diff but not all maybe the newer ones r better made 🤷‍♀️. Oh I’m sorry it’s still not working out for you. I honestly prefer a regular wand over this tool. It’s just too hard to try to “make” it work. Why make things harder, you know? I hate the waste of money on a tool that doesn’t really work out well though. 🤍🤍

I just ordered mine, but after the fact, I realized I didn't order the Le Duo Grande. Which is for long hair. Just wondering if you have the Le Duo, or the Le Duo Grande? How do you get your hair so silky and smooth? Do you use anything prior to curling?

I don't understand why in the promotional videos they have for this tool all the girls were pointing it up and was working fine for them, why wouldn't it work for you? I'm so sick of spending money on tools after watching these videos of it working amazing then I get it and it sucks! I'm worried this tool is going to do the same! ;( I also have super long hair, but mine is very curly and frizzy, if I want the curls you got in this video I have to blow dry, straighten, then curl with a curling iron, im in the mirrors for hours!!! I can't do it anymore....I was thinking because this tool is a straightener and curler in one, I would be able to skip the whole straightening process and just start with it on my naturally dried curly hair, do you think this would work to get rid of the already frizzy curl I have?

😅 You’re right about all the girls in the videos pointing it up, I’m not sure why it seems to work that way for them- only thing I can think of is that it’s because they have shorter hair. I do think it could work for straightening and curling your hair in one swipe if you practice with it some to get the curls you’re going for. 🤍🤍

I can't figure out how to get it to heat up more than the lowest setting. How does that work?

I struggled trying to figure that out at first too 😅 you have to hold down the power button once it’s on and then it will move up to the next heat setting. After that you just press it until it gets to the one you want. Hope that helps!! 🤍🤍

Oh no! I’m sorry it’s not working out for you. I honestly feel like it’s just much easier to just curl with a regular wand. Why complicate things… I know it stinks though when you’ve spent money on a tool that doesn’t work.

I’ve NEVER been able to curl my hair with curling iron. EVER!!! Will this tool help me? Wear do you use to set the curl? Do you spray each section before you curl?

Just got mine today, practiced a little with it, your video has been very helpful. When I turned mine off, after a few seconds it came back on. Is it supposed to do that? I eventually unplugged it.

Why does my hair not "glide through?" I keep having to slightly open the clip, and of course that interrupts the curl. UGH! :-( I was able to do it fine on my left side. But the right side is impossible.

My hair holds curl really well and I don’t like the texture that hairspray gives my hair so I try not to use it. 🤍🤍

Sometimes I use L’ange heat shield but usually I don’t use anything just because I don’t like the sticky residue on my hair. 🤍🤍

I would totally get the longer one if I didn’t already have this one!! It would save more time of me having to twist and hold because it would cover more hair at a time. It’s a little tricky but once you get the hang of it it’s a great tool!! 🤍🤍

Thank you for this tip; I will try it today! I have not seen your other video but I am at my wits end and want to return it because my curls are, well, not pretty! Do you hold the Le Duo down on both sides? I can hold it upside down on my left side but cannot on my right side. 🤔 I'm right handed, does that make a difference?

I’m happy to help!! Yes, I’m right handed but I hold it down on both sides. I just use my opposite hand to hold the tool for whatever side I’m on. I hope you get good results 🤍🤍

With long thick hair, it doesn’t pull through just dragging it slowly down. It stops. You have to keep twisting it.

I have not had any luck with it. My hair is super thin and a LITTLE wavy, not much, but getting it straight doesn’t work for me at all. Sooooooo frustrating!!!

I’m not crazy about the straightener on it either. The curling definitely took me a lot of work to finally get it right. Lol 😅 I know it’s soooo frustrating!! They make it look so easy 🤦🏻‍♀️
