Philosophy of Care
Cancer is an illness that can be defeated or tamed. My personal background and long experience in oncology have taught me that people have different goals and priorities in life; the optimal cancer treatment needs to be individualized to match the personal goals of each patient - that may not necessarily be the goals of the physician. Understanding my patients’ goals and expectations is very important to me.
