L-Cuts are known for their difficulty and beauty. Created by Jerry Cestkowski and published in his book "Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes" in 2002. Over the past 8 years, David Pedersen has been perfecting it, and gathering important pointers on how to reach ninja-level. We hope this video will help you polish up your L-Cuts.

I already can do L-Cuts (true, they are DIFFICULT to master and still have a long way ahead of me) but if I follow your advice concerning the grip: the packets tend to slip as I open my hands to flip the cards with the 3rd and pinky. My grip between the palm and thumb is much higher and more towards the crouch of my thumb

Does anyone else find it easier to do cardistry cuts, flourishes etc with your less dominant hand? I’m right handed but it’s easier to do card stuff with my left, just wondering if it’s common.
@suryakiran3085
@suryakiran3085 Год назад
yeah same , for some of it is easy with left hand ..good thing right

My thought is that because we have been practicing on our left hand since the very beginning, so our left hand would be more trained in handling cards.

Alot of one hand cuts make ur hands feel too small at first, but like, my thumb legit doesnt seem to be long enough to do the first grip. Does it just come with practice or?....

I did it. If youre new to cardistry its gonna take you a while to get it..you cant expect it to get it in 5 mins...you gonna have to keep trying and trying till it hits....it took me an hour of constantly doing to get it..now i just have to practice to hit it constantly.

@brandonperry5393
@brandonperry5393 4 года назад
I had the same problem. you really just got to experiment with the angles and the pressure with wich your holding it. As well as how good you can riffle them. I think RiseMagic does a nice little trouble shoot video about it.

Does anybody know why the hell Jerry's are so expensive?
@saraca_909
@saraca_909 9 лет назад
They not manufactured from '70 because its finish caused environmental damage
@aleks8940
@aleks8940 8 лет назад
+AverageSqueaker In 1970, one of the most famous casinos in Las Vegas - Jerry's Nugget Casino - issued a special deck of playing cards, which are sold at the gift shop for 50 cents a casino. Almost 40 years later, the price soared to $ 300-400 per pack! Jerry's Nugget cards were issued in the 70s for the gaming tables, but did not see "a real game." Subsequently, they were incredibly quickly sold at the gift shop. These cards are created by following the most influential high-tech US Playing Card Company, which, for unknown reasons, is now available. Company U.S.P.C. also used a special chemical coating for cards Jerry's Nugget, which has become inaccessible due to damage to the environment during production. As a result, the cards were completely sold out in summer 1999. Jerry's Nugget Casino does not plan to release new games in the future. Now the popular online auction ebay price per pack is $ 300-400. In addition, no one gives a guarantee that you buy there is a real deck of cards Jerry's Nugget. After all, in 2008 the sophisticated fraudsters oversaturated market imitations of the cards, and in most cases, from this they can be distinguished only tangibly.

depending on how many you take per cut, try to minimise the amount you split...instead of 4-5, try 1-2

why 90% of tutorials on CARDISTRY has shit music and no commentating?
@Meekox
@Meekox 8 лет назад
+anthonycostello1234 It's usually only the free ones that has no talking, i've bought around 10 tutorials and only one of the has no verbal instruction but very clear animations
@Freeeze_
@Freeeze_ 8 лет назад
+anthonycostello1234 its not even a Tutorial, only tips on how you should/could do them to make them look good. and if you really focus and look how he's doing it, verbal instructions aren't really necessary. and don't forget that these are hard to learn and that musics taste of everyone is different

@shockman27
@shockman27 8 лет назад
+Crystian Default You can get them on ebay for like 400-500 $, but i would be careful as a lot of them (probably all) are counterfeit. The only reliable source is Lee Asher, but he rarely sells. For more info google jerry's nugget cards and go on Dan and Dave website.
