January 13, 2020 marked the 30th Anniversary of the inauguration of L. Douglas Wilder, 66th Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and namesake of the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs.
We need more of this is,I myself was born and raised in Richmond, but coming up,I have never been mentor by anyone as specially by such a man as Governor Wilder, how can continue to keep such an impact on our lost children today, so they to can have hope,my being a black yougman in Richmond, I have never gotten a opportunity to be up and close to such a man like Governor Douglas Wilder, I pray that this will change in the near future so that more of our successful black men will come back to Richmond and give back what has freely been given to them by God.
