@@naomibee8881, I know. My point was that it’s great to see him perform in French in the US. He’s very popular here in Québec however, I doubt there’s much interest in the rest of Canada. So I am happy to see our neighbours appreciate his art.

I heard him answer the question in an interview years ago, “Why not English?” - and his answer was beautiful, making it clear that the language is inextricably tied to the music and emotion of his art so he never switches it up. Exactly, he was lauded as a break out genius, but the experience of the way he was treated with his success was to his detriment. I'm glad he is now coming back with his own rules and that he more protective of himself like a gen z.

I stumbled on him last week and I have binged his videos on RU-vid. I recall telling my sister he had sad eyes and later read up on his absence from music and bout with depression. I am glad he is back, I love his music and the videos.
