Louis Moreau Gottschalk (1829-1869) was an American pianist and composer from Louisiana. He composed this piece around 1852 and it was published around 1856.
Alan Mandel was born in 1935 in New York City. He was known for including works by Scott Joplin and other rags in concerts along with other classical music, such as Chopin. He has recorded eight albums spanning from 1991-2006

This minuet sounds like polonaise rhythm which is in ternary form, like that of Chopin. Analysis: 1. Minuet in A minor 2. Trio in A major 3. Coda in A minor

Not Minuet but Minuit. The title translates to "Midnight in Seville." It's more of a Spanish Mazurca.

It is certainly in the polonaise rhythm territory, but as another person mentioned, the title "Minuit á Séville" translates to "Midnight in Seville."
