phyllis bologna Have you tried the CYO lifeproof? I didn’t even give it a second thought because my skin is desert🌵 like with deep wrinkles. I have been on a medication since my teens that made my skin susceptible to sun damage. I wear sunblock daily now, but my entire teens and 20s I ignored my parents and doctors. Don’t let the photo fool you. All that said, the cyo foundation gives me a lighter finish that doesn’t sink into my wrinkles and doesn’t exaggerate my texture. Normally I ask my husband what he thinks, and being the honest man he is, he tells me that the base makes me look older...with the CYO foundation being the exception. I wish I would have tried it sooner. I’m excited to try the new L’Oréal foundation. Still have yet to find a concealer that covers my circles without looking dry.
@@karacreswell8437 girl me either! I have dark, deep set, creased under eye circles and so far the concealers I've tried don't conceal and just look grey and dry. Let me know if you found something!! I'm going to see about the foundation you mention. I've tried four in the past month and all of them just make me look older.
@@karacreswell8437 I have that same issue with concealer. Best one I've found is Neutrogena radiant concealer. It's not full coverage but doesn't look dry or emphasize texture
@@karacreswell8437 CYO foundation is not available in the UK (I think it was discontinued generally?). Have you found any products that are very similar?
Holy crap. That looks so impressive after 12 hours. Shame about that being the second lightest shade, though. But dang - how wonderful to get something for older skin that lives up to its claims!
Thank goodness you are like a normal person applying makeup. The other videos I've watched apply so much shading all over & switch to so many products that would just be impossible to do every morning before going to work. Normal people just don't have that kind of time.
Been using this on your recommendation for few weeks and I love it, I got a compliment on this 60 year old face , she said wow your skin looks amazing, !!!!! I was wearing this foundation , its the first compliment I have got in a very long time. Thanks for video.
Oh yay! I’be been wanting to try this. And I LOVE ur intro sounds, such satisfaction🥰 I love watching younger RU-vidrs but as a 41 yr old, I seriously appreciate ur videos! Keep up the hard work!
I'm 47 and I was so happy to find this foundation. I've tried everything, especially the high rated ones, like Loreal Infallible. I hated that one. It settled into every one of .y pores and looked awful. That's when I realized that I didn't want full coverage foundation. I want coverage but I still want my skin to show through, especially my freckles. After I try (and hate) another foundation, I always come back to this one. It just works. I also like how it wears. I bought 2 backups. I hope Loreal never discontinues this foundation.
Hi Shelly!!! Thank you SO much for reviewing this! OMG! I bought it based on your review and love it!!!! I too am 45 with same skin tone as you. I tried the lightest 010, and it is spot on!!!! Does not make you look dead as some foundations do in lightest shade. My new fav!!!! Love your videos!!!!
I wanted to try this but never got around to it, but never seen a video on it til NOW! I’ll be 62 this month and I love light coverage that gives a glow!! Yay to this one !! Tfs looks so beautiful on you!! Def goi g to Amazon to see if I find it . Tfs yay❤
Absolutely loving today's subtle makeup look, totally fab! And an A for a drugstore foundation? WOOHOO! Any chance you might share any product you might use on your teeth? They look beautifully white without being glaringly overbleached and I'd love to know how you take care of them!
Hi Kathryn! I'm a very lazy user of the Crest White Strips. I alternate between sensitive and professional, and if I'm really on the ball I'll remember to do it once a month, but usually I just do it when I start to notice my teeth looking dull. I get the ones that Ulta sells (usually with my points!) And my toothpaste is the Crest 3D White toothpaste.
This foundation looks beautiful on you! And I can handle "graceful degradation" anytime. It's difficult to find a dewy foundation that will hold up to my 12 hour shifts at the hospital, so I'm going to try this one. 😀. Great job, Shelley!
Yes!!! I've been eyeballing this one. I'm 46 with AWFUL crepey under eye area and it's such a struggle finding foundation that doesn't accentuate that. I WILL be giving this a try. I've heard the blushes are amazing too, definitely gonna pick those up as well.
I've been following you for awhile and when I saw you were testing this I was so excited. I bought it as an impulse and I LOVE it! I have extreme dry skin and textured skin and this is perfect. I've tried some very expensive foundations and this is my new holy grail! This and my Clairisonic! I'm slowly getting rid of the flakes, dryness and texture with my Clairisonic. I'm going to be wearing this foundation to my daughters wedding! ❤️
Lmaooooo yes I love how you described that as “graceful degradation”. That’s exactly right. It just becomes one with my skin and then very slowly kind of evaporates but in a nice way where you can barely tell where the foundation ends and your skin begins. And the blushes are really soft and pretty and it’s all so comfortable to wear. A++++++
I just bought this and wore it today and you are right. It’s not bad at all it’s pretty good. Of course I’m very very four years late for this party, But better late than never and I really like the price.
Thank you for your review Shelley. The foundation looks gorgeous on you 🥰 I'm hoping the current lightest shade of this foundation (ivory) will match my skin tone. I noticed you've also reviewed the more recent L'Oréal release (their "Nude Serum") and both products were graded as 'A'. Time for me to check that review x
You made me buy it lol I went out and bought this yesterday. I did some playing last night and it really is a beautiful foundation. I did notice my dry patches on my nose was more evident but then again I have the driest skin on the planet
This one's been calling my name, so happy to see your review! Thanks as always! And it's never to early for St. Paddy's day! Wish I lived near you, I would bring you some of the Irish Car Bomb cupcakes I make every year! Yum!
I am using Cream Beige 25. I like it. On the top, I put up a thin layer of Age Perfect 4 in 1 tinted balm light 10. Light 10 seems a bit yellowish, so I blend with Cream Beige 25 to make the color better for me. I love the dewy finish look of the combined foundations look. I don’t like to see the dull, powdered faces of women of all ages. I am simply not a powder person except a slight touch under my eyes. I never leave a foundation staying all day. I like to touch up a bit during my traveling days under the sun and the winds.
Darling MILANI also has one similar to that but since I’ll b 62 , I need to try this for my skin!! You are the best when it comes to foundation review and I love your cats!! So adorable!! Tfs 😊
I have started mixing this with my SPF lotion for just a little coverage since I'm home during all the covid stuff. I also sometimes mix it with the Smashbox foundation that Tati loved, but a lot of people didn't, lol. It makes the Smashbox more blendable and more dewy.
It's NEVER too early for St. Patrick's Day!! So great to see a positive review of a new foundation, drugstore no less. :-) I love me a dewy foundation too so will definitely be checking it out. I think I saw a display of this one at my Ulta. I pray they have testers. I'm sorry I laughed so hard during your story about snorting diet coke. Lol! It must have hurt something awful. :-/
Shelly, I love this foundation as well and I think it’s just as good as the Estée Lauder Futurist and less expensive. Love all of your videos. Love Kim from Arkansas 💕
Yesssss!! I’ve been waiting for this. Girl, your skin looks GORGEOUS!! 😍 Well, I mean, it always does. Even without makeup.. which makes me SUPER jealous by the way. 😒😂 Thank you for another awesome review, Shelly!
I have super dry sensitive skin and love this! I bought the three lightest colors. I can wear ivory now. I bought the golden ivory to mix with it for the summer. The rose ivory was too pink. It made it kind of orange. Love the concealer so much.
Told ya ;) so glad you tried this one! I’m using it every day and for easy every day wear it is so nice. Also I am very fair with rosacea and ivory is working well for me
Love your review shell. This looks so beautiful on you!! I've been loving it also. It's so NICE to have a foundation that feels like great skincare but doesn't sit in fine lines and laugh lines. 💕💕 girl we better stock up on this one before it disappears 🤣😂 thanks for sharing girl.
WOW! Even though it's luminous and at the 12th hour, it is the most youthful finish thus far..im loving it..makes your skin look natural and smooth!!! Nice pick!👍I NEED to try this!!!😀you know, i haven't yet tried a Loreal foundation I didn't LOVE.😁
I was putting on self tanner while you were doing your review, thinking that I need a darker shade of foundation and hoping you got good results. I guess I know what I'm buying tomorrow! Thanks!!
Geek Out of Water Hi👋 I’m thinking about ordering the MUFE reboot foundation but love this review, which foundation do you recommend? Thank you very much!
Great detailed review! I really appreciate you showing the difference between sponge and brush. Looks like my skin tone is a tad darker than yours and I just picked up the Beige Rose. I LOVE your eyeshadow look. Do you have a tutorial on it? (I'm really bad at doing my eyes)
Hello!! I don't have this exact look filmed but here's one I did recently that's similar (and easy to dupe out the shades if you don't have the exact palette) - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xTcEtKkFs8E.html
I don't normally buy makeup that isn't cruelty free and vegan but I think I may pick this one up. You and Taylor both liked it and I do love Loreal. I hate that they haven't joined the rest of the world in that direction but I love their products. Tried and true. Also, it's weird seeing the CYO Lifeproof beside the others. It matches me so well, better than most and it's so grey! That's so weird.
The CYO always blows my mind in swatches because it always looks grey but it is a great match on me, too! I wonder what it is about our undertones that make that so? As far as I can tell regarding L'Oreal, they've at least finally moved to not testing their US-based products and ingredients on animals. They're yet another of those companies that continues to sell in mainland China, where after-market animal testing is required by law. So that would make them not cruelty free. It sounds like they are part of the many larger companies that are supposedly working with the Chinese government to eliminate animal testing there. Time will tell...
Hi 😊 I have to say I love your reviews they are very honest and we seem to agree quite frequently on foundations. I just purchased this without watching your review and it’s exactly what I wanted in a daily foundation, spf hydrating light coverage✅ I have dry skin , fine lines and this really made my skin feel nice throughout the day. I wanted to say Thank you 🥰
Woohoo! My count says you checked in at practically 13 hours and it still looks lovely! I’m thoroughly impressed. When they came out with the 24-Hr foundation last year, I really wanted it to be awesome, but the matte finish made me so dry and itchy, I wanted to cry. You may have just pegged a drugstore holy grail here. And it’d be practically free with my CVS bucks every month.
LOL I totally did the math wrong and didn't realize it until after I was exporting the video, and decided I was too lady to stop the export and do the edit on the screen and re-export 😂but you have no idea how happy it makes me that I have subscribers that notice!! I love numbers (and I know I can't be the only one out there that does!) =D
Hey love ! I ordered this last night so I'm so excited to try it. I love your content SO much, can always rely on your opinion, and makeup entertainment 💜
@@goow hi ! Tried it this morning, it is such a beautiful and incredibly smoothing foundation. I can tell it's going to be an absolute favorite, easy to wear foundation. Thanks 😁 Kinda reminds me of the new wet n wild hydrator but even better 💜
Wow, that foundation looks stunning on you. I'm not a super fan of radiant foundations but I always love your recommendations, so I'm headed over to Amazon to buy it. Can you recommend a good setting powder that mattifies for the center part of my face? I'm old (turning 50 in a month) & have super dry, mature & finely wrinkled skin. Keep up your foundation reviews & please review the accompanying concealer. xoxo
Hi Lisa! For drugstore I love the CoverGirl TruBlend loose mineral powder. My all time favorite is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish pressed powder.
I'm probably going to (somehow) find my shade using my knowledge of Loreal's typical shades plus your swatches & excellent review and order this online within a couple of days. Your grade of A on this of course gives one a little more confidence it will work. By the way, your skin has never looked better, without makeup, but with this Foundation even more beautiful☺ Have missed your good nature and humor but I'm back for good, I hope.🤹🏻♀️ HAPPY FOURTH🇺🇸☺Hope you get a nice mini vacation!
Love how u whip out the magnifying glass 🔍😋 so cute , and so me any day now . I’m so excited to try this - I was sold at dewy . Also curious, how did the Essence mascara duo hold up? I’m always trying new mascaras that won’t smudge dang it!! Your skin looked great in this foundation , and I’m super excited to try it when it hits Canada ... hope it doesn’t take too long Great video., u rock girl! 👸🏼
I'm loving the Essence combo! I like the style of lashes I get from the CoverGirl combo a tiny bit better, but I've worn the Essence pretty much every day since I bought it. I haven't worn it on my lower lashes since I exclusively use the Estee Lauder Zero Smudge down there (the only thing that doesn't smudge on me, because my lower lashes touch my face when I look down) but for the upper lashes I'm having zero trouble with flaking or smudging, and it's not difficult to wash off at the end of the night.
This looks like a keeper and one that I might want to check out! 😊 Looks great on you! I was surprised to see denatured alcohol listed fairly high up in the list of ingredients, especially for how dewy you said it was.
As far as I can tell based on people that I take as knowledgeable about this stuff (like Dr Dray's channel/dermatologist, and Stephanie Nicole, worked in cosmetics formulation, etc), it's possible to balance a formula's hydrating ingredients to offset any dryness that might have been caused by denatured alcohol. This one definitely has a good balance, because I've worn it 5 days straight with no dehydration in my skin at all. Of course for people sensitive to denatured alcohol, I'd say avoid it.
Hi Shelly, love the dewy finish, color looks good in studio light ,a little dark in natural light nevertheless pretty ,will be good as summer shade,I'll be checking this one because it's an A,thank you 💕
Oh I have been waiting on this one! They have a new display at my local Walgreens and I have been waiting for them to stock it. So far the display has been up for a week and have exactly ONE blush stocked 🤣 fingers crossed you approve. Oh man I just saw the swatches and 🥺 it looks dark. I am so so so pale. After watching I think I am going to have to pick this one up
Tracy Rose they also recently have displays for Pixi and Milani which are also new and those as well are still basically bare. I know I am in the Midwest but it has been taking about 2 months longer to get new releases
Kimberly Dunham I am in NH and they just finished it. I was in retail my whole life and the appearance of empty shelves would have had people fired! We never get limited edition stuff here either. Cvs in town has a wetnwild halloween display from 3 years ago
Looks great! Love your eyes today!!!!!! Definitely will try it as I have very dry skin to the point my nose peels. This looks so good that I have to try it!!!! Thnx.
It's still in their main product line and I still love it! Definitely worth checking out. I've had great luck with nearly everything in the Age Perfect line.
