Read this: The maltese hymn in Algerian Arabic and compare with Maltese 🇩🇿/🇲🇹 L-had l-ard l-ħlouwa. Lel omm elli għtatna esemha.. Eħressha, moulana, kima dejjmen nta ħrestha... Maltese is a 100% Tunisian dialect. I will tell you why. Tunisians ruled Malta for more than 200 years. Here, the Algerian dialect has nothing to do with the subject.

I did not understand many of his words as many were Italian technical but i knew he was talking BS. Yes Maltese is a variety of Arabic dialect with lots of loan words from Italian but even those are subjected to Arabic structure. No Phoenician no Israeli effect as much although truly Phoenicians have great genetic and cultural influences across south Mediterranean.

Arabs and Canaanites are both Semitic people and not Hamitic as Genesis claims. They worshiped the same God Baal بعل. In Baalbek Palmyra and Carthage among other places. Baal is mentioned in Quran as the idol of Arabs أتدعون بعلا و تذرون الله أحسن" الخالقين"

The Maltese language is not a variety of Arabic, yes it is Semitic, but not Arabic. Linguists should forget this Arabic nonsense and start study the other Semitic languages which weren't as popular as Arabic. The language spoken in Maghreb are also not a result of Arabic, I speak the classical Arabic and my local dialect, plus other Arabic dialect, I can assure you that Maghrebi is totally different than Arabic.
@AysarAburrub
@AysarAburrub 8 лет назад
it originates from old Siculo-Arabic, and its grammar is very Arabic-like. We cant say it's a variety of Arabic because Arabs cant understand it due to the majority of its vocabulary coming from Romance languages. But you cant deny the Arabic origins of this language. Just because Arabic dialects don't sound like the original language, or use some new loan words doesn't make them new languages. As long as their structure and syntax is still pretty much the exact same as Arabic, so they're varieties of Arabic. End of story!

I am from Algerian, and we understand 100% of classical Arabic because is similar. Also the Maltese language is a Tunisia Arabic mixed with Italian language. We understand that you hate everything have a relationship Arabs because we are Muslim and Malta not, but you should believe that. Malta was a Muslim country for 250 year under control of Aghalibic country witch role Maltese and Sicilian and Tunisian territory
