Instead I think he should have said "true as it may be that Misa holds obvious feelings toward me but after our conversations I've deduced she and I would never work out and to avoid the eventual break-up I'd rather remain friends. Though we do not share enough to date I feel that we are similar enough to continue friendship." It would make sure he doesn't have to lie about being into something else, make him seem like a much better person than going to looks and it would explain her obvious enamourment and his lack of enamourment.
i never understood this line of skit from these two.. like just.. say you're bisexual? that way you can still be into women to some extent, and also teeechnically be into guys (even if 0.00001%) so thereby proving innocence with such a claim of 'being gay'.. just agree only to the extent of tolerating dudes, and still liking women
