Also an Oregonian I follow you religiously your channel is interesting and cutting edge encouraging you to continue toward your contribution to mankind as you share your processes and excellent problem solving skills keep up the good work from here in Clackamas. Christopher
Also an Oregonian- Not quite as bad as admitting to being Californian. Ha! Follow you religiously- I hope you also go to church on Sunday, cuz this stuff isn't going to save your soul. Although, it does unify a great group of people and we cab sure use more unity these days. Thanks for following and being part of the gang!
Height is good and bad. I wasn't willing to compromise on clearance on the interior, but once it is on the chassis it is pushing close to 12 foot. Ouch! Maybe tree trimming bars on the leading edge?
Awesome. Glad your health has been confirmed - an interesting time to get sick somewhere else. Here you'd be quarantined in a hotel with no outside contact for 14 days. That's assuming they even let you back into the state (unlikely). Looking forward to seeing the construction of the walls/ceiling on this one! Thanks again for all the content, loving the progress.
Wow, now we're getting serious, first contours showing up ! Great, looks promising ! (Btw: you're looking pretty healthy and relaxed in this video, so maybe you should become sick more often ?!)
Awesome project, you are very inspiring. Regarding fitting the beast inside... Check out the beginning of Sampson Boat Co / Leo’s restoration here on RU-vid. He built a large but simple structure to house his yacht, something like this could work well for you. Can be built and assembled swiftly by you alone. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to following progress!
The Leviathan cover has been resolved. I took a look at the Sampson Boat cover . . . lumber prices have come down I could almost afford that route. Ha!
Just like ordinary double sided tape. Called Scotch 4950 VHB. The 3M rep said they have customers building rail cars and refer trucks with the stuff. 100lbs per sq in. holding power.
Never to heavy, just has to be bigger the heavier it gets (displacement is the name of the game). As far as just a pure overlanding rig it is going to be a feather weight for its living area. Those MANs and Unimogs are like 26,000lbs +
It should fair pretty well with the .25" x 4x4 columns and the 2 sided body skins; probably better than the average motor home, but it would still be wise to keep it on its wheels. Ha!
Yes, but, I dont know :x Looking the tire, I am effraid about what the truck can do... Will you put diagonal reinforcement with tubes ? I am not sure about only panel if it roll :x Or, at leat, a real rollcage in the cabin ? :x
