L2P - Bronze 

Nice thorough video, I hope to hear a lot of bronze success stories soon. I heard one today which brought me here!

"Supports will oftentimes have to soak in Bronze." Sad, but true!

This is great. I'm really excited about the possibility of this continuing on into higher league differences if that is a possibility.

Less mentioned is how powerful mercenaries are in bronze. Nobody grabs them. A few people will go out of their way to clear them, but not a ton. This means you can get a ton of value (and XP) by putting a mercenary band into a lane nobody's touching. You can also spread out their team by grabbing their merc camps, forcing them into those 4v5s.

You cant create a xp lead in bronze when your team is feeding

Good content as always, but recommending bronze li Ming’s to push past a Sonya in lane to lob missiles and orbs at towers is going to get a LOT of people killed. Really would caution against doing that... you will die.

Obviously there is a lot of good stuff in this video but also some things that I deem problematic. Nazeebo burst mage? Nazeebo high health? Jaina and Nazeebo easy escapes? Li ming's agressive tower positioning with Sonya in the same lane? Not mentioning Zagara as a dead simple solo lane stomper? Some of the stuff mentioned in the video could give low level players the wrong idea I'm afraid. Also you could have mentioned that real players - not bots - might realize they are winning the lane hard und thus attack your structures when their minion wave is tanking the tower shots. If then you have picked a low wave clear hero like Uther or Muradin you will not be able to punish them for it or eliminate the enemy minions quickly so they don't tank the shots any longer.

Sad thing I'd I know basically everything this video says hut cause no one else knows this stuff I'll never get out of bronze cause 1 player can't win this game :(

This week's L2P is extra hearty. Heard from a lot of Bronzers after the recent population reveal. I will be on vacation next week and wanted to give you something meaty to chew on.

One thing you could explain next time is that sometimes the best play is just doing nothing, are you down 3 heroes and the enemy is taking your botton wall ? Dont try to defend, wait, this won me so many games i cant even count

FYI 0:52 you are too far away to soak XP, if you watch the minion die no xp is granted. After they get closer to the wall and you see the xp soak. Careful on those distances.

how do you soak on 2 or 3 lanes? since nobody else is soaking

I only have this to say: Blizzard need to put this video as mandatory before anyone start doing hero league. Would help a lot.

03:31 Even a bronze Sonya will not let you get away with this. They would absolutely shut you down before you get anywhere near the towers. Bronze players are not as braindead as you might think 10:38 I kinda disagree with this. There are plenty of people who are passionate about playing certain heroes and they will hardlock those heroes regardless of the state of their draft. The draft could be made worse by their decision to play, let's say, Abathur because they're passionate about playing them. There's more nuance to this subject; you have to think about your draft and whether your hero choice is the right choice. Is the draft better or worse for your choice of hero? You might think this is too much for Bronze but I promise you it isn't. I've experienced this for myself and it sucks. The game is borderline unplayable at bronze because of drafts that are essentially dead on arrival. A game I played the other day was a classic example of what I'm talking about; 4 ranged assassins with a healer but no tank or bruisers. Despite polite requests to improve the draft, people didn't swap. Result? Team got smashed by a better comp with a frontline. I was the healer in this scenario and it was painful to experience. This is far more common than you might think. For those watching, take this video with a pinch of salt because I don't think it goes into enough detail.

For the most part this is a good video, I have some small disagreements with some stuff in the video but nothing major. Except for the fact that you are saying farming towers, I feel like this can give people in bronze the idea that they should go around farming towers for XP. I think if you used killing it would be better. I wouldn't bring this up if you didn't say farm a ton in the video, using the terms farm and kill can bring additional nuance that a video like this can benefit from. Overall though this is a very well made video :)

Remember that if you want to incentivise yourself to soak, you can press Tab, and sort the scoreboard by the highest XP. If you can lead XP in both teams, then you have mastered the concepts outlined in this video.

Great video! It’s incredible how many people still don’t know how to soak XP in Silver League. Or they just don’t care. We fall behind in levels and it’s hard to catch up. I try to convince people to stay in lane, and will often rotate to lanes that are unattended

So, soak XP and don't die. Any advice on how to deal with the other people on your team? As someone stuck in bronze 5, if I'm off soaking a lane, my team can be picking 4 v 5 fights and losing the whole time. Now I look like the bad since I'm not helping the teamfights. Doesn't matter if those team fights are taking place on the otherside of the map from the object and have no strategic value. Joining in the pointless teamfight is better than soaking if it can keep my whole team from dying.

Excellent video - had issues with bronze hell over the past few seasons. Last one I just concentrated on learning drafting better and getting used to match mechanics...decided to finish my placements last night and actually managed to get silver 4 (bout 2 matches to go till I hit silver 3) which felt great. Looking to the L2P Silver video :) Or do you have any tips on that now?

So sick. After that like videos ill have "pick that char or report, im gold i do know shit" teammates. Tiers not about this or that. Its sum of knoleges. Thats one of reasons ppl on high rank flame each other. When "i know game so i got high" guy meets "im good at char controll and micro" guy. And they both see other one as supernoob.
