I think L9 is perfect for the US market. Although Li Auto is not gonna go abroad in the near future, I have seen some foreign dealers import L9 into Russia. Looking forward to seeing L9 in more oversea countries.
@@kenyup7936 Its not due to the geopolitical problem, it's jsut simple fact that the US is the most closet market on the planet, no competitive products can be allowed to enter there.

even with the 25% import tax the car will still cost around $75k. which is the cost of the bmw x5 with no air suspension. the is no way people no gonna buy it and i saw this car suspension beating the bmw x7 in one these youtube channels.
No way US will let competitive Chinese products taking over US market. Only “Outsourced & Made in china” by American companies allowed in US. Any good competitive Chinese goods will be “security concerns “. Only exceptions like DJI drones. Trust me, DJI will be banned soon.

Re massage, I don't think they expect anyone to be using the screen to do it. Just use voice command or the button on the side of the seat. Voice command is by far the easiest way, even to turn it on/off for others.
The US really inflates how cool we are. In reality China has wayyy superior cities, technology and infrastructure. You should review the Hongqi E-HS9 please!!
Ev owner in China here. Prices fluctuate with the time of the day for most places. And some commercial charging stations also includes surcharge on top of electricity fee. Commercial charging stations can cost as low as 0.3 RMB per kWh(mid night off peak pricing), and as high as 2.6 RMB per kWh(most expensive tesla charger I had used). Home electricity with city grid usually ranges from 0.3ish to 1.5ish RMB depending on how much in total you use. Also apartment ev onwers these days can apply for separate 3 phase power supply to the parking spot they owned or rented for ac charging. The power company will setup the electrical line to your charger for you for FREE if they think they have spare electrical capacity in the area. This type of electricity cost about 0.6 RMB per kWh, and it’s preferred for most ev owners who own a parking spot which it’s not cheap at all. Energy pricing maybe different across the country, but it’s not far off.

Li Auto is popular only becos it's hybrid which many Chinese are still worry about range anxiety. Made it full electric, the sales will be in big trouble. There are many indication Chinese government are trying to phase out hybrid too. Going full electric is the only solution. Li Auto autonomous tech or drive assist are awful. The future of li Auto will be bleak.
China, despite being at forefront of NEV adoption, doesn't have a set deadline to phase out ICE like the Europeans do. It's practical: like much of the world, China simply is too diverse geographically and socio-economically to go full BEV. Same with Chinese consumers, whom dare I say don't give much s* on climate change. They buy NEV for the fuel economy, comfort and efficiency of the electric motor, plus the smart features. Which explains why the Li Auto EREVs are flourishing and the bigger chunk of BYD sale being its PHEV DM-i models. What China is doing will spread to much of the third world, where people value economy way, way over ideology. Hybrids will completely replace ICE, where in the wealthier parts of the planet we'll see more BEVs.
Li auto is gonna release 5 fully electric models before 2025 with 800V CATL latest 4c battery technology also they will have 5 extended range EVs they already dominate the luxury NEV category in china. They will also launch li mega a fully electric MPV this year with 800V charging tech. They already make profits unlike many EV startups. Their future sales will come from pure EV + EREVs like byd
@@cwdjdsd-36321cs Those are temporary success. Chinese government are pushing full electric car for now and future. Hybrid already do not enjoy incentives and tax rebate. Li Auto success is based purely becos it hybrid but with electric car banning them from using their charger and no more government support. Hybrid is bound to doom. Li Auto has yet to prove it can sell well when transit into full electric. The future of li Auto looks bleak. If u know hybrid is going to be phased out , will u buy hybrid? Li Auto sales will plummet in next few months. Mark my words.
This car is not a hybrid. The drive is 100% electric motor; the ICE engine is used to charge the battery only. To me, this is the best - mechanically simpler, thus it should be more reliable and cheaper to manufacture. Tesla would do well to do the same: battery about 1/3 the size with added ICE engine & generator. No range anxiety, no transmission, no gasoline needed for commutes/trips under 80 miles. Charge overnight at home. Also, use to power job site, or power home during grid failure. All this stuff about touch screen vs voice control, self driving, entertainment, menus, sub-menus, etc., is superfluous & silly stuff for people with too much money. Keep it simple and reliable.
I've read the L9 is a 44.5 kWh battery pack with front- and rear-mounted electric motors and a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder acting as a RANGE EXTENDER not a hybrid... or did you miss that too?
Maybe you didn’t get the analogy. In the old days the living room was a space the family gathered around and did things together, like watch channel 3. Nowadays a modern living room is typically people each with their own device.doing their own thing. I think this is reflected in the design of the car
Yeah in the old days family have more “synogy” for lack of entertainment. Nowadays we just go own way with our own devices, even when we are in a common space. I get what Eric meant. Some good. Some worse. That’s just what the society has evolved.
@@torontodave9840these are range extenders. NEVs in china include EVs, PHEVs, EREVs, fuel cell cars. All these will be exempted from taxes till 2027. People prefer li auto because they have a range of over 1000km and have a luxurious interior. These cars will be in the market till EVs can get longer ranges, charge faster and become cheaper like PHEVs
