@@VeroniMeow look at his early videos on his channel. The ones when he was 3. He loved it the moment when he could press a key. He is gifted and it is not something parents can force kids into
I am a classical pianist and I am speechless: this boy is phenomenal! His technique and musicality are Incredible and he deserves more publicity and recognition. Talented genius!
I agree. Its not just that he's playing la campanella, but his musicality is really something. He really seems to have a good intuitive sense about how to make music, not just play notes
@@luckypegasusvol7700Sure, he’s got talent. But to get those fingers to move that way takes a TON of practice! Muscles (and tendons and ligaments -coordinating all in a precise way!) are not built in a day.
That is ridiculous. Being able to play La Campanella with such tiny little fingers is amazing lol. Not only that he is incredibly confident with his rhythm. It's INSANE. That being said when I do see things like this I do worry that the kids are allowed even some sort of a life outside the piano.
Idk but he seems to really be enjoying playing... I've started playing violin sinse i was 7 and i enjoyed it, but then i got desmotivate bc of personal problems and i was forced to play for like half a year and trust me that the sound is not the same when you want to play it and when you are forced to.
I have 12 years of experience, but the first few years I was forced to, so I threw my chance of getting this good away and now have to practise even harder to get to the level I should have to be. (I can't even play "low rated" pieces)
Wow. One of the best performances of La Campanella that I’ve ever heard. This is a piece that’s very hard to play in a way that sounds musical and pleasing to the ear. And he does it at age 10. Unbelievable talent. Already a true master. Thank you.
There was a piano composer around 1800ish named Franz Liszt who was really full of himself but amazing at piano. He wrote all of these insanely difficult pieces to flex on people and wrote them intentionally so that no one else could play them. Anyways, here’s a video of a 10 year old in a Cookie Monster sweater absolutely crushing it. What my brother wrote as he sent this to me lol
Its true that Liszt was an accomplished egotist. He did indeed compose with the intention of demolishing competition. But remember, there were no recording devices in those days. In order to hear a piece of music you had to BE there. So anyone who could play your music could do it and reap the reward - and those audiences would not have to hire Liszt. So he fixed it so if you wanted to hear Liszt, you had to pay Liszt - because no one else could come close to playing that stuff - and a lot of pianos could not stand up to it either. That's one of the things that motivated Henry Steinway to start building pianos.
As a pianist with a few years of practice, I can CONFIRM that this piece is so hard and I can’t play it. I may be able to one day. But this kid is a genius! wow! i want to be like him ❤️
Just the fact that a 10 year old child can play la campanella is extremely impressive. But that he can also handle the velocity and the tempo of this piece so good is just... Wow!
It's incredible to see a 10-year-old play the piano so flawlessly. However, often behind these prodigious talents often lies immense pressure, sometimes from well-meaning parents who may unintentionally burden their child. Let's support and nurture these young talents while ensuring they have a balanced and healthy childhood too.
You know, random people will watch this thinking, “Wow, how impressive.” For those musicians and pianists, we all know how extremely extraordinary this is.
Be patient! Is not the time yet. He's still young. There's still room to improve in his interpretation of the music. Technically, he's almost on the top level, no doubt about it. But he's still missing something (maturity). He needs time.
@WG Zhang Have you heard of Hannah Yun Ying Wang. Listen to her playing & you'll know about the maturity of this 8 year old girl has. Her techniques are way higher than Jonah. It's very hard to tell whether it's a young player or an adult playing the Liszt music. She has it all; the style, the techniques, the feelings, the articulations, & the presentation.
Some people spend their whole lives playing piano and cannot play anywhere near as good as this amazing gifted child...myself included.😊 This is truly a God given talent.
When I clicked on this video I was thinking there’s no way he’ll be able to play it properly or it’ll be an easier version of the song… wow was I wrong! ☺️
This is the definition of a baby Ling Ling descendant who will get his heart broken one day by a blonde-haired girl who plays violin with him. Edit: Thanks for all the likes, and as an Asian myself I meant this joke with no racist or rude intentions.
Why isn't this boy prodigy getting more attention? Obviously his innate talent is highly uncommon. Half the time he appears almost as if he is telescoping the composer (like the composer possesses his hands, or something). The fact that Jonah has been doing this for so long and remains "undiscovered" is hard for me to understand. This is not simply "raw" talent...this is something on the scale of divine talent. Surely I'm not the only person who can perceive that. Am I??
Imagine he is on Ellen Show and everybody knows all that extra attention will interrupt his life and does no good to him It's the time for him to just learn and enjoy his childhood. He can easily get attention when he is a teenager or later in his life.
People nowadays only simp on pop music stars or get addicted to anime. There are way too many people who just ignores the beauty of classical music and the ultimate talent required to play them. I am not just disappointed with the simps, but nearly all of humanity.
As a pianist, i was delighted with the precision of the final section of La Campanella, particularly a piece that I'm afraid of, especially in the octave jumps and arrangements. Sorry for bad english, i'm not used to English
This boy is the reincarnation of any famous pianist you have ever met. I am quite amazed by his way of playing his hands free and developed in impressive movements.
This just proves despite all hardships pianists struggle with, such as smaller hands, can be overcome. Amazing performance. This is indeed true talent.
I also have 10 years and in December, santa gave me an organ. I still have it. I like it. I play every day, but it has only 37 keys and my house is to small to add a piano. Soon, i'll do piano lessons.
If you record yourself in your practice it's alot like performing and so you're far more likely to make mistakes. So basically recording yourself practice and listening back helps alot (Btw he made a few mistakes. His quality is very good though)
Little Jonah plays Liszt like a grown man, when he’s only 9! Good pace, well phrased and full of musicality! The interpretation was remarkable. Indeed, the Piano sang throughout as he gave that excellent performance! Continue the good work.
One of the strongest talent is the passionate. When you have that passionate on something, you work without any pain but purely joy. And it will accelerate day by day. Many talented people are just like that. We might need some study about their brains to find out how do them work.
As a hungarian, its really great to see that someone from my countries my blodline made it soo far, even people from 50.000 kms away still put the hard work, and everything to lear it soo good like you.
he could never be a pianist when he is older, he coud have other talents and choose what he prefers ... I have known a girl who was a prodige child in violin (father conductor and mama pianist) but when she got older she was interested in dogs (yes !) and she specialized in breeding russian dogs...
@@musico104 I think you're quite wrong for assuming that and even including "never". You're not wrong with your point, someone could literally lose interest in their talent but "never" shouldn't be the term for it, but rather "might". Just like how Franz Liszt lost his interest in music in his old years.
he is very talented, he definitely enjoys playing the piano. In the future he will become the best pianists, he will win competitions, I am already his fan.
I wanted to show off to my friends. I tried this music once. I gave up. This video showed up. I continued practicing again. This boy is my power and motivation❤
I heard alot of things I have not heard in other versions (and vice versa). Jonah is AMAZING. I hope he is devoting himself to piano of his own accord. That is A LOT for a 10 year old. what a talent!
I think no one could be his teacher now and forever. He has already learn all. Good boy! keep your talent in your life Your fans keep longing for👍👍👍💪💪💪👏👏👏💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

Absolutely impressive! I've heard this song played by many pianists and this kid adds a fantastic feeling to each section.
His temp is always amazing cause he is only one person who played perfect this piece and it sooo amazing that learned piani only in 7years, he is totally a genius
This made me really happy to see. This was my last show piece I played back in high school right before the pandemic hit, and kinda stopped my performances totally. I have pretty huge hands, so it was really cool to watch how he went about the parts that I abused my hand size to accomplish, such as the second rendition of the A section. Overall, 10/10, hope you keep pursuing piano in the future.
I have 10 years and I don't even know how to play Canon in D, and at this age, you learned La Campanella. I just started the piano. I wish I could go back in time when I was a baby and to ask my parents if they could give me a piano + piano lessons.
