* Franciscan neighborhood, Sisters of Perpetual Adoration (FSPA), Maria Angelorum Chapel, Viterbo University; look for an extended tour in the basement with nod to Sister Thea Bowman (case opened for sainthood)
* Grandad Bluff, overlooking the town and the Mississippi River
* Hixon Forest, also offering excellent views - Lookout Prairie, Zoerb Prairie, Miller Bluff
* La Crosse Area Heritage Center
