You know what fucks me up? How come I can feel the emotions and sentiment in songs like this. Like I legit feel music so terribly deeply, yet I meet no one who feels the same way ever.... everyone of my friends and lovers just "like music" it does not run through them the same... ik there is people out there, yet fate separates us.

@@JudyKapow right? I just feel like there is a REAL emotional cutoff now adays. When I SEE someone going through something bad or tragic I feel it in my core. Because of that I can put myself in others shoes. I always FEEL everything. The good and the bad. If I could give 10% of the empathy I feel for others I feel like this world would be alot more beautiful. This is super off topic but if you feel emotions deeply I have a question. Can you read complete stranger's (or friends) emotions ? I find my self super in tune with how the people around me feel
Seeing them live was an experience I will never, ever forget. Everyone in the room was singing and crying to this song, and the emotion I felt in that room was so thick it was tangible.

Still ,after all these years after all this time it still means something and tbh I'm glad it does,cause I don't wanna forget what I've felt nor what happened. Good or bad ,memories are memories and they should never be forgotten. its hard. This song reminded me so much of a girl I've loved for two years. We dated for a few months and that was one of the best relationships I had and we broke up because she was going through a lot. It was a messy break up and my grandfather was in the hospital. She broke up with me on February 13th and my grandfather died on February 14th (Valentine's day he was always a dramatic) but I never stopped loving her. We started talking again and she apologized for what she did and she has genuinely changed the bad parts of herself which is rare. We both still care about eachother which hurts the worst. She has a boyfriend now and she said I deserve someone who can be there for me physically (shes in a different country) and it's hard. I don't know how to more on and am so desperately stuck on her still im sorry but it helped to rant some. I haven't had any one really to talk ti about it because my only friend hates her for how she hurt me and doesn't really believed shes changed and the only other friend I have is another ex of mine and I can't really talk about being in love with someone to him. The lyrics are so beautiful and perfect. Every single lyric in this song. I played this song for my daughter and I sing it and then go on about how great and powerful this song is 😅

My favorite thing about La Dispute is that none of their lyrics are meaningless. They’re not one of those bands that just makes up meaningless shit for the sake of it sounding good. Each line is deliberate and dripping with an angst and passion that, I’ve really only been able to find with this band. Truly one of the greatest artists of the last 20 years.

I listen to a lot of fucking music, and I think this is still one of the most lyrically interesting, relatable, and beautiful songs I've ever heard. I mean the entire album is fucking great, but this one always stuck out to me.
