Birrieria San Marcos has some of the best tacos in Los Angeles thanks to their specialty: birria tacos. These tacos are bathed in broth from a stew, consomme, and the meat is slow cooked in it for hours. The tacos are then served crispy off the grill with a side of that same stew like a Mexican French Dip! They are some of the most flavorful tacos in LA, and Birrieria San Marcos has become popular on Instagram. We went to see what these tacos are all about and were seriously impressed.

Today I learned of birria tacos so it is a great day. I used to get street tacos in China from an 阿姨 (aunty) food vendor. The meat and tortillas looked like this. To think I might be able to eat a taco like that again 🥺 thank you Mexico

Out of all of the foods featured on this channel, this is the one I absolutely absolutely want to try. Update: Finally tried birria tacos (not this and it was prepared more the traditional way). Holy smokes it is rich! I would have a heart attack if I ate those every day. I had two and was done! I may have gone overboard and also ate the consomme.

I mean I get WHY they typically promote LA & NYC, cos they’re based out of those to cities. You have to consider that traveling outside from where there business is based comes at a cost, so maybe it’s just too expensive to go to a different state every week for them. Not saying they SHOULDN’T try and expand, but I get why they’re hesitant to do so. Still, insider has seriously picked up traction online over the course of half a year. There revenue is def going up- which means in the near future they should be branching out.

Everytime we vacation, we always vacation in the Southwest just for the Mexican food. There are hardly any Mexicans/Chicanos here and so the food is very bland and boring. There are a few Caribbean and South American Latinos here but their food is also just as bland and ordinary. Mexican food however, is AMAZING! All you folks out West are SOOOOOOO lucky!

Lead Singer maybe next time you might vacay in ACTUAL Mexico. Food is much better because the ingredients are from around, chiles for salsas are fresh, not just dried, limes are better and also you get avocado with street food because here is not a gourmet thing, it’s part of our actual regular diets.

This looks so fn good. I'm not fond of LA or CA for that matter but I'd make an exception for this culinary gem. I especially related to the one guy having a tear shed for those tacos. My favorite restaurant in Spokane WA is Fiesta Brava on Francis and Nevada. Roberto's alambre are by far the best I've ever had, they brought a tear to my eye. I live 2 hrs away but I'll make the trip for that taco and Roberto's super friendly family. The first time I went there years ago Roberto's 6yo granddaughter was serving. She got a $10 tip.
