Lionel Messi and Inter Miami faced the Los Angeles Galaxy during opening weekend of the 2024 MLS, which saw these two huge MLS brands go head to head. But of course, the biggest brand of all, Lionel Messi, was still the biggest talking point of the night, as fans were not shy to share their thoughts, opinions, and reactions.

inter miami is a new club even in the mls, with the arrival of messi they already made history winning their first title, now we will have to see how far messi's trajectory in IM goes, so they have less trajectory but they are writing history. at a soccer level they lack better CB to recover and go out with the ball, messi and the rest of barcelona can't do everything. Hopefully in the future IM can be a big team that always fights for the top positions. :)

LA was impressive and pressed Miami’s defense repeatedly while Miami missed on numerous assaults. Miami did well and is still getting it’s teamwork together. Passing errors are still a problem. Overall LA looked better tonight but expect a better coordinated team effort when LA plays in Miami…Miami to win re-match, at home as their most impressive teamwork becomes a well lubricated machine to take the League’s Cup, again and a MLS title!
