Done it so many times , lived in la goulete , le kram , sidi bou said and la marsa , taxis are everywhere and cheap but the tram is by far the cheapest and run every 15 mins , very basic and can be packed at weekends but the tram lines go straight into the centre of tunis , so once you know your way around it don't cost much at all and everywhere is quite safe too
You're welcome! I you are a little uneasy about the port and your surroundings, we would definitely advise taking the private transport route rather than the train, which still makes for a cost effective day. Everyone feels safety differently, and it's important to make sure that you make the best choice for yourself to enjoy your time!
Hey Samantha! It may be possible. I have just gone to the train station in the past, and during the day there has normally been a train every 15 minutes or so. They can be quite crowded at times, so just be mindful of your belongings!
Hi Judy, yes, 3 hours would be plenty of time. It is a fairly compact area, the main factor here is that it isn't flat, just in case there are any mobility concerns within your group. I would say.3 hours though is perfect- you won't feel rushed at all with that amount of time. Enjoy the trip!
