So much devastation is hard to view, thankful for your documentation of this so in the future we can remember and learn what to do. Prayers for everyone involved.
Your drone videos really show how bad the destruction this volcano has caused. Much better coverage than what is shown on TV. I live on the east side (thankfully!) of LP near Santa Cruz, but my heart goes out to all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. One of my ex-work colleagues lost his house in Todoque... Just one of now some 2,500 residents who have lost everything :(

Interesting to see how just a little rise in the land or lava from a prior eruption can save a structure. From other videos, a year after eruption stops, it should be possible to create a road to cutoff houses and farms. What a mess, at least no one has been killed so far.

I much prefer volcanoes that don't do this kind of horrendous damage to the habitat of fauna and flora. This is so terrible for the many people who have lost their homes and livelihoods. The climate here allows plants, farm and other animals, and marine animals to thrive too. Beautiful though the lava flows are,, they create heartbreaking losses. Lord Jesus I lift up my this people into your hand give them grace to bear the loss. Lord look upon them for they lost every thing hoping the nations will help them to built their houses again with the govt help. AMEN 🙏

It will take a long time, more than three years, to all that lava to cool down. I climbed Teneguia volcano three years after it stopped and it was still very hot.
Shame the family at the first house didn't manage to get their cars out. Perhaps they were away from the Island at the time. The Land Rover might be saveable but they will have to dig it out. Everything looks pretty quite there now. No people but a few cars meandering about.
@@CarlosLopez58 Camera didn't zoom out far enough but with cold lava there should be a driveable route out. The lava is quite smooth by off roader standards. Let's say it would be a good challenge for it. Cars are driving on the roads not too far away. Once things have calmed down, owners will try to save what they can. There will be tracks all over the lava to enable this.
Live by an active volcano, you will loose from that active volcano. You can’t fight Mother Nature….it’s so dang sad, but it’s true. Their is nothing anyone can do to stop lava when she blows.
