Namaskaram 🙏🏼 I am a Bolivian, family roots in Sucre, but grown up in Chukiawu Marka ( the traditional Name of La Paz). I have been to Bharat last year, and I felt soooo home. Our cultures are so similar. I would love to explain to you all the things and traditions of my city and my country. Pachamama is not only Mothe Earth, she is the Devi herself. Pacha meaning Universe, Time and Space at the same time, like the attributes of the Devi Vishveshvari, Kaalaruupini in the Devi Stuti... We see the Moon as our Mother and call her Mama Killa in Quechua, or Phaxsi Mama in Aymara. Our Father is Tata Inti, meaning Father Sun, and the Mountains are our Devas, we call them Apus or Achachilas. In a certain way for those who grew up in a place, the Mountain of that place becomes kind of a Kula Devata for the person. In Bharat you have puujas , in Bolvia we have ch'allas. When I was in the Naga Temple of Isha in Chikaballapur, Karnataka. While I was making the parikrama I saw the sacred Chakana Symbol of the Andes there on the sides of the murti of the Naga, I was moved to tears.... In Andean culture the Snake is also sacred and known as Amaru in Quechua or Katari in Aymara. There is so much to tell, but this space is too short.... You have brought up very interesting points by drawing a parallel between 2 cultures that are so geographically apart, yet we have so much in common. Yes, we have noticed during our travels in Latin America, from the Aztecs and the Mayans in Mexico/Guatemala to the Incas and Aymara in Bolivia/Peru, how different elements of nature are important aspects of our spiritual life, similar to our Indian culture. You have shared some good examples that encourage us to farther explore your beautiful culture and country. We have traveled to Isla del Sol and Sucre also which we will share in our next series of Bolivia videos.
@@ParadiseCatchers I worked a time at the Isla del Sol, those years when there was no electricity and it was not so crowded. I will be waiting for your videos. At the moment I am in Kathmandu, Nepal. I feel like I am in La Paz, it sometimes is confusing 🤣In April/May I am going to be in Bharat again, and then return to Germany where I currently live. Haha yes La Paz has similarities to certain regions of that part of the world. In fact, we found the altitude, barren topography and views similar to the towns like Leh, Kargil in the Ladakh/ Zanskar region of India. Yes, we will keep in our mind your invitation :-)

@@ParadiseCatchers sucre is the capital of bolivia. The highest capital is located in Quito Ecuador. since Quito is 2850 meters above sea level. and Quito is the Capital of Ecuador. La paz is higher but it's not the capital of bolivia is sucre.
