La Plantà is the day (well actually several days) up until March 15th when the Fallas Artists move the pieces of their Fallas Figures out from the workshops
(we visited some in this video:
• Peeking into the Falla... )
into the streets of Valencia. Then they get to work assembling the monuments, with the help of big cranes. They also touch up damages due to transportation and make the lines blend in so you can't tell that the monuments are actually individual smaller pieces.
Valencia is famous for it's amazing weather all year around and during the Fallas month of March, normally the sun shines, it's warm and you can sometimes even walk around in just a T-Shirt. Not this year though - it's rainy, cold and windy for this Fallas. This makes the work for the Fallas Artists extremely hard. Figures fall over and get damaged - in the last clip of this video you can see the Falla Na Jordona fixing up their figure after the heavy winds from the night before.
