@@VallaMusic men look feminine to us because of our modern sense, but actually it makes alot of sense that for most of history men wore very outlandish and gaudy fashion. It largely has to do with the fact that bright colorful patterns , on very expensive silks and worsted wools were, and, are expensive. Showing your wealth through clothing was easy since dying your clothes many beautiful shades was expensive. To me they look quite masculine when you look at them through there lense and their sensibilities. Personally, I think men should start wearing brightly colored patterns again, we've been on the muted color trends for way too long.
Der originale Cotillion "La Portugaise" von D´Aubat St.Flour (ca.1757) hat auch eine eigene Musik mit der Struktur AABB pro Strophe (AA für die Figur (16 Takte) und BB für den Refrain (16 Takte)). Verena Brunner erweiterte 2001 diesen Cotillion um ein Drittel, damit er zu den 48 Takten von Mozarts Kontratanz KV 609 Nr.4 (ca.1787) mit der Struktur AABBCC pro Strophe beschritten werden kann. D.h. die Eingangsfigur und folgende Figuren werden bei der Fassung von Brunner zu den Musikteilen AA von Mozarts Musik beschritten, der Refrain zu den Musikteilen BBCC von Mozarts Musik. Das, was vom orginalen Tanz von D´Aubat St.Flour bzgl.der Choreographie zu sehen ist, zeigt sich bei der Fassung von Brunner komplett im Refrain: zu den Musikteilen BB mit der großen Kette (die die Eingangsfigur beim originalen Tanz ist, zu AA der originalen Musik) und zu CC mit dem, was im originalen Tanz der komplette Refrain ist (zu eben BB der originalen Musik).
Musikstruktur von Mozarts KV 609 Nr.4 am Bsp.der ersten Strophe im Video: Musikteil AA ab 0:08, BB ab 0:24, CC ab 0:41. Bei der erweiterten Fassung Brunners wird zu AA die Figur beschritten, zu BBCC der Refrain. Struktur des Videos insgesamt: 3x AABBCC + AABB. Der Tanz endet also mit der Kette im Kreis.
Da beim originalen Tanz von 1757 für den Ablauf der Choreographie die Struktur von Kopf- und Seitenpaaren nicht erforderlich ist, ist dieser Tanz easy als Kreistanz zu drei Paaren machbar. Sonst sind ja bei einem Cotillion vier Paare obligatorisch.
Wir sind tatsächlich 4 Paare und nennen uns das "Tanzensemble Brokat". Da es immer - wie hier - passieren kann, dass 1 Paar bei einem Event ausfällt, choreographiere ich jeden Cotillon auch für 3 Paare :-)
@@hofischertanz Das ist bei La Portugaise aber insofern auch einfach umzusetzen, weil er eben keinen Ablauf hat, wo Kopf- und Seitenpaare in Aktion treten, da braucht dann praktisch nichts geändert werden. Solche Choreographien sind eine gute Möglichkeit auch mit weniger als vier Paaren solche Tänze zu machen, eine Erweiterung der Möglichkeiten eben.

This is standard upper-class male clothing for the time period (breeches, etc.). Nothing feminine about the outfits, the extravagance was about displaying wealth and position. Ordinary men wore plain clothes.
