Took a dna test from ancestry about 7 maybe 8 years ago. Ended up being 44% Iberian, 33% indigenous, 9% North African, 2% Asian, forgot the rest though. The map they provided was pretty accurate too. Showed my family came from chihuahua and michoacan, my mom’s side is from the north and father is from south. Also very interesting my father’s side knows a lot about our indigenous ancestry, they said we are part purepecha. My mom’s side knows nothing about indigenous ancestry but seem to know a lot about great aunts and uncles from Spain.
La Raza actually means "people". Is mostly used to mean "Mexican people" bc the use it got by Chicanos and Mexican-Americans later. But in México we still say "La raza está loca" meaning "people are crazy" for example, refering to "humans".

Nice video, you did a nice job. Mexico is diverse in its own way, southern mexico can easily be a country of its own and northern mexico can too, we differ that much in genetics, history, culture, gastronomy, traditions. We because Mexicans in 1821 before that we didnt see ourself as one united people, there were kingdoms installed by Spain. This is another reason why after the independence of Mexico, there were an outburst of independentist movements all over the country and a reason why the USA took advantage to attack Mexico, they saw the population wasnt united at all. But anyways, my family is from Veracruz and on my 23andme results I came out as 94% European. Veracruz is a melting pot of different admixtures, as Veracruz was the most important port in the country and its where Europeans first stepped in before heading to other states. We had a large wave of Italians in Veracruz during the late 1800's, a few years after the mexican independence which is the wave I descend from. They created their own communities of Italo-Mexicans. My grandmother was the one who mixed out and married my mix race grandfather.
I’m Mexican by my parents, but was born in the states my DNA test shows indigenous, Spanish, Senegal, North Philippines, French,Basque , Germanic, south Philippines, Congo, Benin and Togo, Jewish, southern Italy and Portugal- but I’m 40% indigenous and 12% African! (Abnormally high)
The African Meztizo is only 1.4% of Mexico. The combined Asian population overwhelming and they don't do this. That 1.4%, are as important as all Mexicanos, but let's not get carried away with the numbers. We are mostly Meztizo. It is a scientific fact that Mexico carries more full Indigenous tribes and ppl than any other country. South America ain't no slouch either. It's also a scientific fact that other than full registered people and tribes, Mexicans, including Mexican Americans, carry more Indigenous DNA than any other group.
Would you say those indigenous tribes are associated with the Hebrew tribes of the Bible? I know a lot of those tribes have very common traits, beliefs, customs, foods, wardrobe and etc.
@awokeone7997 There are similarities with other continents on every continent. Catch up with recent science. The discovery of the Denivesons in Asia is very significant. There is no or next to none Deniveson DNA in Africa. The ancient DNA studies have been done and verified. Catch up with recent science. The Aboriginals of Australia, the Negritos from the Philippines, the Natives of Papua New Guinea and others are from Asia, with ancient Asian DNA, not African. The world knows that tight curly hair and dark skin don't always equal black African. The world knows that diet and environment can dictate your physical appearance, including hair texture and skin color. There are several ancient human fossils of the Americas' first inhabitants, none have African DNA, NONE! The African came with the European on ships of horror, and it's very well documented on paper and DNA trail. The Aboriginals of Australia, the Indigenous of New Zealand, the Americas, Oceania, and Asia all carry Deniveson DNA. Seems like there was a huge migration out of Asia, and they hit almost every continent. The Out of Africa theory is a theory ( best quess). It isn't now or never has been deemed a scientific fact. The OOA has been struggling for a long time. It seems to be running on dogma. New sophisticated genetic science and dating techniques have given up lots of shocking surprises, with more to come. Some newfound ancient human fossils are not meeting the timeline of the OOA. Maybe some people should open their minds to other possibilities in the future. Catch up with recent science.
About 1,000 people in my family. We go back easily 8 generations. Everyone is either 60/40 or 40/60 Indigenous to Spanish and vice versa. 3-5% North African Moor so this comes from the Spanish portion. Even in the US, most of the family have married of Mexican descent going back to when California, New Mexico was Mexico. One family can have a blonde, blue eyed kid along side a dark haired, dark eyed dark haired kids. The DNA mix causes crazy outcomes in our family. He was born in the capital of Michoacán (colonial Valladolid), now called Morelia to honour him. About 2.4-3% of Mexico's population has significantly large African ancestry, with 2.5 million self-recognized during the 2020 Inter-census Estimate. However, some sources put the official number at around 5% of the total population. While other sources imply that due to the systemic erasure of Black people from Mexican society, and the tendency of Afro Mexican people to identify with other ethnic groups other than Afro Mexicans, the percentage of Afro-Mexicans is most likely actually much higher than what the official number says. In the 21st century, some people who identify as Afro-Mexicans are the children and grandchildren of naturalized Black immigrants from Africa and the Caribbean.[8] The 2015 Inter-census Estimate was the first time in which Afro-Mexicans could identify themselves as such and was a preliminary effort to include the identity before the 2020 census which now shows the country's population is 2.04%.

Spain is, clearly, far more of a mestizo/mixed nation (if that term is ever properly to be used). (1) The Spanish people speak a totally borrowed language, a dialect or branch of Italo-Latin mixed with many thousands of Arabic words. Very few words of the indigenous Hispano-Iberic language remain in use. (2) The culture of Spain is a complex mixture of Latin-Italic, North African, Middle Eastern, Greek, Gitano, and other characteristics, with very few indigenous (pre-Roman) traits remaining, except among the Basques and Gallegos. (3) Racially, the modern Spaniard probably carries relatively few indigenous genes, the latter having been greatly overwhelmed by Carthaginian, Celtic, Latin-Roman, Germanic, Arab, Moorish, Berber, Jewish, black African, and Gitano intermixture.
