This is great. One thing to understand that in telenovelas, everything is dramatized to the 10th degree and no one KNOWS anything about the other until either the climax of the story OR until the very end. It's to keep suspense but also to keep the audience watching and drooling to see what the next episode will have. All telenovelas are the same formula, no matter the type of story they tell. xD
