When the Director of Economic and Community Development for the city of La Vergne (a powerhouse in attracting big-named clients to Tennessee such as ICEE, Amazon, Bridgestone, UPS, Coca-Cola, and others) reached out to Tennessee Drone Services to see if we could put together a video showcasing areas of interest to bolster their retail and residential efforts, we said absolutely.
After meeting with the Director and his assistant, and listening to what they were trying to achieve with a video, we settled on a different approach and adjusted how we filmed and edited to try and capture the goal.
After listening to their objectives, it became clear that the heart of what they were after was to produce a video that wasn't overwhelming or confusing. They didn't need a video with facts and figures vying for your attention (as their team would cover facts and figures in subsequent discussions with interested parties), but one that highlighted some current retail land that's ready for development, and showcased what makes La Vergne La Vergne to be played on loop in their booths at tradeshows.
Two days of filming on location, plus hours of solidifying the message, editing, color-grading, and animating resulted in a video the Director, as well as the Mayor, was very pleased with. This is that video.
