Now that I've viewed this video at least 50 times in the past 2 months, time to comment: Truly one of the most beautiful performances I've ever seen. Bravo!!
this piece is insanely hard and she performed it while producing sounds with studio mixing quality. I worship your talent, your dedication your productivity and everything
Half of the comment's are ARMY's coming from Lie, and then here I am coming from the Twosetviolin video "Kpop musics that are inspired by classical music".
Good god this girl is amazing. To think it usually takes two guitars in the hands of two proficient musicians to achieve this. Outstanding musicianship.
Check out Evan Marshall. He's a mandolinist who has perfected the duo style. He always sounds like there are two mandolinists playing. Look for his transcription of Rossini's William Tell Overture. He has a degree in musical performance in violin, but he loves mandolin. He plays violin but rarely on stage. When I've seen him play violin, I've been stunned. He's superb at both.
+Gohar Vardanyan Wonderful performance. This work, beautiful as it is, is devilishly difficult and also requires a great deal of emotional and artistic intelligence to perform properly. Greetings from Macedonia!
+Gohar Vardanyan I've heard a lot of versions for ths music, all of them in 2 guitars. Yours, however, is my favorite. Same to he Introduction and Fandango from Aguado (you could record it again, but in higher quality. It was just INCREDIBLE). Your work is amazing! Keep it up! Cheers from Brazil!
For everyone asking about the arrangement, I used Keigo Fujii's arrangement which is available in a PDF form online if you search for it. I used that as a base, but I changed a few octaves of the accompaniment, I added notes in some places and took a couple of ornaments out. I changed the part around the descending scale and changed the fingerings in a number of places. I didn't write any of it down, because it was easier to just memorize it than to write the changes.
I can't tell the changes you make it sound so natural as if it was meant to be played this way. Segovia said in an interview he laughed when presented with arrangements because they were 'impossible' to play the way composer intended. Alluding to the idea that certain things had to be changed to make the piece playable. You crafted a masterful version of your own. I am in love with your playing!
@@JayleenInChains it has been played duet. she has to play with very stretched fingering while maintaining the tempo and moving along the fret. it's not easy. i see somewhere she lose the rhythm for keeping the sentence going on. it's a very difficult piece for the solo playing.
Wow. I'm listening to it again. I love the energy you give to this piece. Played crisply and at the required tempo: quickly and lively. The strums are strong, forceful, and wild! A very nice piece from a compositional standpoint that is played confidently and with brio.
My favorite De Falla. No. My favorite classical solo piece for the last 50 years. And now, my favorite guitar performance of it. I cannot stop watching and re-watching you, Miss Vardanyan. All your videos are beyond marvelous.
Wow!!! I've listened to this piece many times, but this the first I've seen it performed. Fantastic! Btw, I heard your interview with Bret Williams. It's how I learned about you.
Dear Gohar You are so hi level guitarist, I love everything about you the technique the musicality the energies, your understanding the secretes of the right and left hand technique, Guitarist so talented like you, you have to be in the category on perfection like Yehudi Menuhin, Hefts etc, haw ever I'm sure that you hear sum buzzing place in the peace and I now that you are unhappy with that. What I can tell you is that you can't allow yourself to let this happen to your playing, because you are member of the greatest instrumental player in the world, so it's must to be perfect. Its seems to be very easy for you to correct it. Congratulation I'm a fan on you. yosef
Please explain what do you mean by "sum buzzing place in the peace". Nothing in La Vida Breve es about peace! Brío y más brío! Enjoy life, it is brief!
What?!?!? Navegando por RU-vid vengo y me encuentro con esto... estoy flipando, la mejor interpretación de Falla que he visto con diferencia... 😳👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Oh Damn, fabulous Gohar managed to beat me to the reply but then her fingers do work in a very fast, accurate and spectacular fashion - beautiful work Gohar. (Don't forget to give her at least 3 diamonds. )🔷🔷🔷.
Excellent performance considering that this musical masterpiece has been played in the past by very capable duets and now by a single player. Very good arrangement and playing!! Bravo!!!
Awesome! Twosetviolin brought me here. I really love classical guitar although I'm not aware of much repertoire. Can you give some suggestions for repertoire?
Thank you :) If you want to hear original guitar repertoire, I would listen to Tarrega, Torroba, Tedesco, Aguado, Sor, Giuliani, Rodrigo, Ponce, Lauro, Barrios, to name a few. But then, of course we steal from many other instruments - especially piano with Albeniz and Granados. And Bach... who can forget Bach haha ;) Btw, would you happen to remember which video of TwoSetviolin sent you here? I love their videos haha :)
It's a great performance. It is a performance that is well expressed with rich sensitivity and feeling. I applaud your performance. Thank you very much.
My favorite piece! ... re-arranged. Like two guitars, but in only one! (except ever synchronized). Went by fast...; como La Vida Breve. Thank you! You don't let go of the rhythmic drive, do you? Great courage.
Hola.
BRAVO!!! I played this back in 1985 when I was in a Guitar Duo with Geoff Bonenberger During that summer, we had the opportunity to play it in a Master Class for John Williams in Spain. With that being said, what you have done with this piece is Masterful, Colorful and BRILLIANT! ! Most people that hear and see you play "La Vida Breve" have no idea the high level of technique required to play at this level. The changes you made are no big deal. I loved your performance. If you ever travel to Las Vegas to perform, , I'd like to do a video interview with you and post it on my entertainment blog, Las Vegas News Blog. . Keep inspiring people with your music! Keep Being Brilliant, Robby
Finally one that puts that Spanish touch for Spanish music, makes me feel the real meaning of the piece with the flamenco rasgueos and picados. Excellent!
I...totally didn't notice this in the 2016 Wings Photo Album and totally didn't come here. Pfft what are you saying?? oh no they know.. *CAUGHT IN A LIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
Wow! A challenging piece executed so maturely! The tempo mastered! You really must have liked this piece! No negative impression, except that it was a bit "clinically" executed! That doesn't mean something is technically lacking! A good doctor follows clinical procedure and arrives at a diagnosis, before lab investigations! Can't help but feel a little bit "jealous"! There could be many viewers who want to know about where did you come from! Thanks for the video!
If you hear this play on radio you'd think you would think iot's string quartet playing ..you have to watch her play to believe it's only her .Thank you .
Wow this is awesome i am very impressed... in awe, for sure... i think i heard William Kanengiser play this... her playing on this reminded me of William... Gohar you are fabulous. Cheers Doyen
