I know I'm late to join the discussion, but I feel like I should help straighten this out. Angel could be genderfluid or another nonbinary identity accepting both binary pronouns, or just a drag queen. Many drag queens take on she/her pronouns while in drag though that wouldn't explain the "brothers" part. Angel's gender is never stated, to my memory.

Oh lol I was wondering what comment people were getting mad about and calling homophobic. You didn't like his outfit, that doesn't make you homophobic. If this movie was remade (and they did a good job) Angel's look would we vamped up and probably way cuter. Not everyone has the same style.
