Where is the wedding ceremony scene, and why was it cut out of this uploaded version. It's how she was exposed and caught. It makes no sense now for the authorities to suddenly have her in custody with no explanation.
Is there a way someone can add English subtitles? I loved this movie as a kid but watched it not understanding anything and enjoyed the songs. It would be awesone if there was English subtitles in CC
YES and NO. Obviously we don't know how this movie was handled behind the scenes during making of this Bollywood adaption of 1984's "Splash", if approval was needed or not and if it violated any International laws. From what we can see, neither Hanks, Hannah, nor Levy's face can be clearly seen, as the footages have been been heavily edited and darkened, and only Swimming scenes were what this film wanted. Bollywood at the time didn't understand how functioning Mermaid prosthetics works, nor did they have the budget to hire international support from filmmakers, so it was just easier to borrow scenes. Sort of like how the US borrow footages from the original Japanese Super Sentai series to establish the Power Rangers franchise.
@@PaisleyParkGirlIt really depends on how the Copyrighted laws held up Internationally at the time if the making of this film, but because neither Hanks, Hannah, nor Levy's face can be seen due to thr heavily edited footage, it can be argued in many ways back then. It's obvious that it was only the swimming scenes that this film seriously needed, as Bollywood didn't, and probably still doesn't, understand how a functioning Mermaid prosthetic works. You can tell from the movie that the tail she's wearing looks completely unswimmable, as she's basically just draging it's weight when in shallow water.
